Breakfast concept, Yolk, with nine Chicago locations and 16 total locations across the country, has announced its $50,000 investment to establish a gourmet coffee program at all locations, elevating its current coffee offerings. Yolk’s team will be adding comprehensive, high-end coffee equipment to execute quality coffee beverages across the board as well as providing top training for baristas to act with a deep knowledge for coffee. In collaboration with local coffee roasters in each of its four markets, the brand plans to release an espresso blend to accompany the exclusive Yolk drip coffee blend as well as homemade flavor syrups from scratch.
“We are thrilled to be rolling out a gourmet coffee program at Yolk,” said Taki Kastanis, Founder of Yolk. “As Chicago’s home for brunch, we realize the need for delicious coffee to accompany our famous dishes. With this investment into our locations and staff, we aim to give guests the best coffee in the city, with an exclusive espresso blend, drip coffee blend and the capability to create any coffee concoction they may desire.”
“Coffee is a growing trend and our new program comes as demand for fresh, in-house and locally-roasted coffee is at an all-time high,” said Scott Bufis,Yolk Beverage Director. “Coffee lovers are looking for a quality cup of coffee or latte that is meticulously made and of the highest quality, not the greatest speed. We are elated to be able to have our fingers on the pulse of the coffee industry and offer guests the trending beverage options including alternative milk lattes, pour overs and more.”
