Yard House opened its newest restaurant on Monday, July 30, in Lombard, Illinois. Located between the lively Oakbrook Center and Yorktown Center shopping destinations, the restaurant is the third Yard House location in the state and the 73rd location nationwide.
Yard House Lombard serves 110 beers on tap – featuring 20 local craft beers from 11 Greater Chicago-area breweries, including Noon Whistle, Revolution and Moody Tongue.
In addition to Yard House’s beer selection, the restaurant features a broad menu of American favorites with a selection of globally-inspired flavors, from salads, street tacos and grilled burgers to seafood, steaks and ribs. Gluten-sensitive, vegan and vegetarian options are also available. The space spans more than 10,000 sq. ft. with indoor and outdoor seating for up to 374 guests. The signature atmosphere is enhanced by a curated playlist of classic and current rock hits and abstract artwork by Jerome Gastaldi, a vibrant artist who creates art to reflect the regional environment of each restaurant location.
“We’re thrilled to join the Lombard community and offer guests a place where they can come to connect over cold beer and quality food,” said Udo Wirtz, general manager of Yard House Lombard who’s been with the brand for 13 years. "Whether you’re grabbing lunch with co-workers or meeting friends for happy hour on the patio, there’s something for everyone at Yard House.”
Housed within the 3,000-gallon, glass-enclosed keg room are select limited release beers, in addition to the full selection of brews, featured on the rotating “Chalkboard Series” and three draft beers from Lombard-based Noon Whistle Brewing that are making their debut for the first time at a Yard House restaurant.
Yard House Lombard is located in the Fountain Square restaurant and business community, allowing guests to stop in while shopping or for an after-work drink to enjoy an extensive list of food and beverage specials on the happy hour menu. Yard House Happy Hour and Late Night Happy Hour features half-priced appetizers and pizzas, including favorites like Poke Nachos, Pork Lumpia, and Classic Sliders. Happy Hour is available Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Late Night Happy Hour is available Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to close for food only.
To celebrate the new restaurant opening, Yard House is donating $2,000 to the Northern Illinois Food Bank, a local member of the Feeding America network. The restaurant has selected Grace Bible Center, a non-profit in Villa Park, Ill., to become the beneficiary of its weekly Harvest program, which coordinates surplus food donations to food banks and other charitable organizations across the country.
