Tuscan Hen Market (North Center)
Hidden away in Chicago's North Center neighborhood, Tuscan Hen Market has a European-style patio in the back courtyard for date night or dinner with the girls. Order Italian dinner for a meal under the stars. Tuscan Hen's hidden patio can seat about 30 guests.
Virtue (Hyde Park)
Located in Hyde Park, Virtue is a Southern American restaurant run by Chef Erick Williams. Virtue has a wrap-around patio that lines the corner of 53rd St. and Harper Avenue. Virtue's outdoor patio can serve 48 guests. Bar Chido (Downers Grove)
Coming to Chicago's west suburbs this spring, Bar Chido offers a modern take on Mexican street food serving fresh dishes and cocktails. The heated patio extends the indoor atmosphere outside through roll-up glass windows. Those looking for a bite to go can take advantage of the Taco Takeout Window. Bar Chido's outdoor space will serve approximately 40 guests.
Found Kitchen & Social House (Evanston)
Found Kitchen reopens its doors on May 9th including its patio. Found serves contemporary American dishes with seasonal, global flavors. From brunch to dinner, head over to the Evanston restaurant while soaking up a little sunshine. Found can seat approximately 30 people in its outdoor space.
Fuller House (Hinsdale)
Take advantage of heated tent seating while there's still a chill in the air. American cuisine is offered at Fuller House along with a patio when the weather is nice. The Fuller House outdoor space can serve over 100 guests.
Pierce Tavern (Downers Grove)
Gather around with friends at this neighborhood hideout which offers burgers, bourbon, and beer. Pierce Tavern is keeping guests toasty in the heart of downtown Downers Grove with heated tents until warmer days come through. Pierce Tavern's outdoor space can serve approximately 60 guests.
The Barn Steakhouse (Evanston)
Evanston's steakhouse is open year-round with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit to warm up. This outdoor space is a "hot" commodity with heaters to keep you warm through these final cold days until the sun shines brighter. Grab a cocktail or glass of wine and start the evening. The Barn can seat about 20 people in the garden and 50 people in the tent.
Kinzie Chophouse (River North)
The Patio at Kinzie Chophouse is a streetside outdoor area with overhead awnings and large parasols to shade guests from inclement weather and can be retracted to let guests bask in the sunshine.
Guests can order from the brunch, lunch and dinners menus or opt for the Happy Hour specials available M-F from 3-6 p.m. Happy Hour menu highlights include $5 wine + beer and a $9 Dirty Gin Martini. The food menu includes buy one get one free appetizers. The selection includes:

The rooftop deck located at Navy Pier re-opened their doors to the public on Thursday, April 22. Boasting over 56,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space with views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan, this year-round rooftop rooftop will again offer locals an opportunity to partake in Chicago’s upcoming warm months, safely. Signature drinks include a lychee-style cocktail, a fruit-forward cocktail served in a bag, and much more. Parking for Offshore is available in the East Garage located on the North Dock of Navy Pier.
Kennedy Rooftop (Wicker Park)
Kennedy is currently serving up specialty drinks and dishes Thursday through Sunday on their deck in Wicker Park providing views of the complete city skyline from the John Hancock to the Willis Tower. Seating is first come, first served.
Hornblower Group (Downtown)
Hornblower Group has announced the launch of its Chicago cruising operations as City Cruises under City Experiences, the new brand name for the company’s water- and land-based portfolio of offerings. Locals and travelers alike are invited back on City Cruises’ yachts including the Odyssey Lake Michigan, Spirit of Chicago, Chicago Elite, and their newest vessel to join the fleet, Odyssey Chicago River, to be offered specialty curated cocktails and cuisines, all while taking in views of Lake Michigan and the city skyline from the Chicago River. FMK is set to reopen with a brand-new menu on April 8. Located in the Fulton Market District, guests can sit either outdoors or indoor dining at the part restaurant part art gallery crossover, and try Chef Jonathan Harootunian’s seasonal menu, in addition to locally-sourced cocktails. Sicily meets the South Loop at this Italian eatery located within the Roosevelt Collection Shops at 1010 S. Delano Ct. Led by Executive Chef Michael Serratore, Pacino's offers a wide range of classically-inspired antipasti, pizza, salads, seafood, fresh pastas and more. AIRE (Downtown)
AIRE features 360-views from the 24th floor of Hyatt Centric the Loop Chicago. This rooftop deck serves as an urban atmosphere for both Chicago residents and tourists alike. The regular food menu at AIRE carries an array of flatbreads, appetizers, and salads. The beverage program at AIRE serves up a variety of specialty- crafted cocktails, craft beer, draft beer, and wine. RAISED, An Urban Rooftop Bar (Downtown)
RAISED, situated on the third floor of the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel at 1 W. Wacker Drive, is open for the summer. The name RAISED, refers to many conceptual layers: the bascule drawbridges that line the Chicago river, the river locks that raise the water for passing boats, and the elevation of the urban rooftop location. The name also draws inspiration from the urban gardener and the DIY hop grower, brewmaster, or winemaker with the notion of raised garden beds, hop plants and grapevines.
RAISED is equipped with an industrial aesthetic, eclectic style and rustic, raw finishes. RAISED offers indoor/outdoor bar, open roof deck and private outdoor areas overlooking the downtown Chicago River view.
Designed to complement Executive Chef Tony Biasetti’s American cuisine, the beverage program at RAISED features an array of wine, beer and cocktails. Featuring rotating draft and bottled beers and wines on tap, guests have the option of ordering by the glass, or the bottle, ranging from champagne, reds and whites, as well as a selection of summery rosés.
Offering a new take on American cuisine, Chef Biasetti designed RAISED’S menu to consist of traditional American bar food with a twist, highlighting snacks and shareable plates. In order to ensure the freshness of each dish, Chef Biasetti focuses on locally sourced ingredients within 200 miles of RAISED. Offerings include the local cheese and charcuterie selection, Tuna Wakame, Carr Valley Aged Cheddar Mac & Cheese, Seared Atlantic Salmon Filet, Grilled Skirt Steak, Hand Cut Signature Frites, House Smoked BBQ Pork Sliders, and more.
RAISED, an Urban Rooftop Bar is open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.., Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m., and is closed on Sundays.
Pennyville Station (Park Ridge)
Pennyville Station’s patio will be open to the public beginning Thursday, April 29. Per the City of Park Ridge, expanded patios will continue on Main Street this year - providing brunch, lunch or dinner.
Andros Taverna (Logan Square)
Located in Logan Square, Chef Doug Psaltis shines a light on traditional Greek dishes by using family recipes he grew up with. Andros has an outdoor patio with 80 seats along both the west side of the restaurant and its Milwaukee Avenue sidewalk. Located adjacent to the city’s forthcoming public park and green space expansion, the garden patio will have an overhanging glass canopy with hanging greenery. Chef Bill Kim’s fast-casual restaurant offers lunch or dinner to dine al fresco on their patio just off of Damen, recently adorned with a fresh mural painting by Chef Won Kim. Pretty Cool Ice Cream and Vietnamese Cold Brew Iced Coffee are available, as well as Chef Bill Kim’s Pizza & Parm Shop, a virtual restaurant concept offering Detroit style pizza, cauliflower wings and more.
Wood (Boystown)
Wood is a six-time Michelin Bib Gourmand winner serving dinner and Sunday brunch. Wood also offers seating on their patio, which will be open weather permitting. Wood accepts reservations for the patio.

The Table at Crate (Oak Brook)
The patio in Oakbrook Center offers an option while shopping, featuring a menu of favorites from Chef Bill Kim. A covered patio offers outdoor seating no matter the weather & weekend brunch service launches on April 17.
Robert Et Fils (North Center)
Robert Et Fils, a small fine-dining French restaurant from Chef Rob Shaner that opened a takeout window amid the pandemic, is opening its outdoor space on May 15, welcoming diners to order Parisian drinking foods and libations on its patio. As the pandemic continues to improve in Chicago, Shaner will open the 17-seat interior space for the first time as well.
While most of Chef Rob’s rotating menus for takeout are inspired by his past travels, including the time Chef Rob spent and lived in Paris, the patio menu will consist of a lighter “Parisian drinking fare” suited for ordering a glass of wine or summer cocktail. Guests will be offered charcuterie boards, cheese plates, mussels, and more. Pastry Chef Cati Molnar will serve homemade bread that will complement the main menu.
Patio service will be offered on Fridays and Saturdays, weather permitting. The patio will seat up to 14 guests with four tables available.
Robert Et Fils’s small team consists of Chef Rob and just two other members. However, the team is looking to expand and hire new staff members. Guests can call ahead to inquire about availability and reserve their experience. Robert Et Fils will also accept walk-ins for the patio. Rotating menus for takeout will still be available and available to purchase on Tock.

The New American Bucktown neighborhood restaurant with open windows and a patio available for full dinner service including a la carte, prix-fixe, and a seven-course tasting menu with wine pairings.

The Midwestern-focused, pasta-centric Logan Square restaurant is open for full dinner service and Sunday lunch.
Nonna's (West Loop)
The Italian grab-and-go West Loop restaurant has a dog-friendly patio and counter service with 6-8 two-top tables.
Cabana Club Rooftop Pool at The Robey (Wicker Park)
The Cabana Club is located on the sixth floor of The Robey Hotel with 180-degree views of the Chicago skyline, chef-driven bites, and summertime cocktails. Cabana Club will be open to hotel guests and the general public at 11 a.m. daily on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservations).
Hannah's Bretzel (River North)
The fresh sandwich and salad shop is open with a front patio. The shop is currently open daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the LaSalle Dr location only.
Pilot Project (Logan Square)
Pilot Project is a brewery incubator, tasting room & cafe located in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. Pilot Project was launched as a collaborative and artistically curious space to help support talented brewers in an industry with exceptionally high barriers. Launching 10+ breweries since its August 2019 inception, Pilot Project is the country's first incubator dedicated to the art of brewing and community inspired by the craft.
Pilot Project has a 4000 sq ft patio, clad with graffiti from local street artists and overlooks the Congress Theater & Milwaukee Avenue. It can fit 140 people socially-distanced and is dog friendly.
The full beverage and food menus are available to order on the patio and include artisanal sandwiches, beer-inspired appetizers, beer, cider, hard kombucha and coffee.
Reservations are available through the website and walk-ins are also welcome! The hours are Sunday-Thursday from 11am-10pm and Friday & Saturday from 11am-11pm.
Cielo (Goose Island)
Cielo Rooftop at Azul (1177 N. Elston Ave.) is now open with an open-air rooftop. The lofty venue will feature an array of seating for guests to choose from including lounge-style couches, cabanas with wooden pergolas and high-top seating.
Featuring cuisine crafted by Azul’s chef Michael Herandez, the seafood-forward menu will highlight Crudos, Ceviches, Tacos, and other lighter fare. Standout menu items will include:

The rooftop deck located at Navy Pier re-opened their doors to the public on Thursday, April 22. Boasting over 56,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space with views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan, this year-round rooftop rooftop will again offer locals an opportunity to partake in Chicago’s upcoming warm months, safely. Signature drinks include a lychee-style cocktail, a fruit-forward cocktail served in a bag, and much more. Parking for Offshore is available in the East Garage located on the North Dock of Navy Pier.
Kennedy Rooftop (Wicker Park)
Kennedy is currently serving up specialty drinks and dishes Thursday through Sunday on their deck in Wicker Park providing views of the complete city skyline from the John Hancock to the Willis Tower. Seating is first come, first served.
Hornblower Group (Downtown)
Hornblower Group has announced the launch of its Chicago cruising operations as City Cruises under City Experiences, the new brand name for the company’s water- and land-based portfolio of offerings. Locals and travelers alike are invited back on City Cruises’ yachts including the Odyssey Lake Michigan, Spirit of Chicago, Chicago Elite, and their newest vessel to join the fleet, Odyssey Chicago River, to be offered specialty curated cocktails and cuisines, all while taking in views of Lake Michigan and the city skyline from the Chicago River. City Cruises offers plated brunch and dinner cruises alongside a selection of wines, craft beers and specialty cocktails, all with views of Chicago and Lake Michigan. Cruise prices start from $86.90 for brunch or $99.90 for dinner (prices per person, excl. fees & taxes).
Geja’s Café (Lincoln Park)
The "Restaurant of Romance" located at 340 W. Armitage, is open for indoor dine in service as well as outside on their patio under their Pergolas seven days a week. Reservations are limited outside on their recently installed Pergolas.
Thorn Restaurant & Lounge (Rosemont)
Located in The Rose Hotel Chicago O’Hare, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton and closest off-airport hotel to O'Hare, offers hotel guests and patrons alike an option for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as brunch and late-night cocktails, and includes comfort food favorites, signature Rose items, and Chef’s daily specials. The Thorn lounge features seating areas for those looking to dine in, as well as a patio area for those interested in sitting outside. They can also accommodate various social gatherings, family functions, upcoming meetings, and more.
Water’s Edge (Oakbrook)
Located within The Hyatt Lodge, 2815 Jorie Boulevard in Oakbrook, Water's Edge offers café items including fresh salads, classic sandwiches, soups and entrees for both breakfast and lunch. During the summer months, guests can order meals al fresco on the patio. Hearth Lounge’s menu includes cocktails as well as gourmet soups and sandwiches, fresh salads, hearty appetizers and desserts. Both venues provide views of the property’s private lakes and landscaping restaurant and Hearth Lounge are the place to sip cocktails or order lunch and dinner. Patrons can also opt to book Hyatt’s Lakeside Private Parties which can cater to up to 40 guests.
Fulton Market Kitchen (Fulton Market District)
FMK is set to reopen with a brand-new menu on April 8. Located in the Fulton Market District, guests can sit either outdoors or indoor dining at the part restaurant part art gallery crossover, and try Chef Jonathan Harootunian’s seasonal menu, in addition to locally-sourced cocktails. Chef Harootunian’s focus is to provide a variety of seasonal dishes utilizing ingredients sourced from regional farms, local markets and neighbors along Fulton Market Street. Located at 311 N. Sangamon, FMK is open Thursday through Sunday, and offers a brunch menu on the weekends.
Pacino's (South Loop)
Sicily meets the South Loop at this Italian eatery located within the Roosevelt Collection Shops at 1010 S. Delano Ct. Led by Executive Chef Michael Serratore, Pacino's offers a wide range of classically-inspired antipasti, pizza, salads, seafood, fresh pastas and more. Order signature cocktails or a glass of vino at the full bar indoors or pull up a seat under the outdoor pergola for a outdoor dining experience.
AIRE (Downtown)
AIRE features 360-views from the 24th floor of Hyatt Centric the Loop Chicago. This rooftop deck serves as an urban atmosphere for both Chicago residents and tourists alike. The regular food menu at AIRE carries an array of flatbreads, appetizers, and salads. The beverage program at AIRE serves up a variety of specialty- crafted cocktails, craft beer, draft beer, and wine. This outdoor area features fire pits, cabanas, couches and an outdoor bar with an urban feel.
RAISED, An Urban Rooftop Bar (Downtown)
RAISED, situated on the third floor of the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel at 1 W. Wacker Drive, is open for the summer. The name RAISED, refers to many conceptual layers: the bascule drawbridges that line the Chicago river, the river locks that raise the water for passing boats, and the elevation of the urban rooftop location. The name also draws inspiration from the urban gardener and the DIY hop grower, brewmaster, or winemaker with the notion of raised garden beds, hop plants and grapevines.
RAISED is equipped with an industrial aesthetic, eclectic style and rustic, raw finishes. RAISED offers indoor/outdoor bar, open roof deck and private outdoor areas overlooking the downtown Chicago River view.
Designed to complement Executive Chef Tony Biasetti’s American cuisine, the beverage program at RAISED features an array of wine, beer and cocktails. Featuring rotating draft and bottled beers and wines on tap, guests have the option of ordering by the glass, or the bottle, ranging from champagne, reds and whites, as well as a selection of summery rosés.
Offering a new take on American cuisine, Chef Biasetti designed RAISED’S menu to consist of traditional American bar food with a twist, highlighting snacks and shareable plates. In order to ensure the freshness of each dish, Chef Biasetti focuses on locally sourced ingredients within 200 miles of RAISED. Offerings include the local cheese and charcuterie selection, Tuna Wakame, Carr Valley Aged Cheddar Mac & Cheese, Seared Atlantic Salmon Filet, Grilled Skirt Steak, Hand Cut Signature Frites, House Smoked BBQ Pork Sliders, and more.
RAISED, an Urban Rooftop Bar is open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.., Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m., and is closed on Sundays.
Pennyville Station (Park Ridge)
Pennyville Station’s patio will be open to the public beginning Thursday, April 29. Per the City of Park Ridge, expanded patios will continue on Main Street this year - providing brunch, lunch or dinner.
Andros Taverna (Logan Square)
Located in Logan Square, Chef Doug Psaltis shines a light on traditional Greek dishes by using family recipes he grew up with. Andros has an outdoor patio with 80 seats along both the west side of the restaurant and its Milwaukee Avenue sidewalk. Located adjacent to the city’s forthcoming public park and green space expansion, the garden patio will have an overhanging glass canopy with hanging greenery. Chef Andrew Zimmerman’s Michelin-starred destination has been in the West Loop since 2007, but just opened its first patio last summer. The sidewalk patio will open as soon as weather permits.
Smyth + The Loyalist (West Loop)
Smyth + The Loyalist debuted its very first patio on Ada Street last summer. Both Smyth’s tasting menu and The Loyalist’s new French-leaning menu will be available on the patio as soon as weather permits. The patio is open starting at 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations coming soon; walk-ins only for now.
The Dearborn (Loop)
Executive Chef Aaron Cuschieri highlights seasonal Midwestern ingredients to create dishes. Their first sidewalk patio launched last summer and is open again this year, offering great people watching in the Loop.
The Smith (River North)
The American brasserie offers an expanded sidewalk patio and covered tent in River North on Clark and Kinzie streets.
Urbanbelly (Wicker Park)
Chef Bill Kim’s fast-casual restaurant offers lunch or dinner to dine al fresco on their patio just off of Damen, recently adorned with a fresh mural painting by Chef Won Kim. Pretty Cool Ice Cream and Vietnamese Cold Brew Iced Coffee are available, as well as Chef Bill Kim’s Pizza & Parm Shop, a virtual restaurant concept offering Detroit style pizza, cauliflower wings and more.
Wood (Boystown)
Wood is a six-time Michelin Bib Gourmand winner serving dinner and Sunday brunch. Wood also offers seating on their patio, which will be open weather permitting. Wood accepts reservations for the patio.
Farmhouse Tavern (Evanston)
Chef Garrett VanBergen creates Midwestern fare using ingredients locally sourced, including from the restaurant's own Brown Dog Farm in Wisconsin. Patio is open weather permitting. Reservations available via Resy.

The Table at Crate (Oak Brook)
The patio in Oakbrook Center offers an option while shopping, featuring a menu of favorites from Chef Bill Kim. A covered patio offers outdoor seating no matter the weather & weekend brunch service launches on April 17.
Robert Et Fils (North Center)
Robert Et Fils, a small fine-dining French restaurant from Chef Rob Shaner that opened a takeout window amid the pandemic, is opening its outdoor space on May 15, welcoming diners to order Parisian drinking foods and libations on its patio. As the pandemic continues to improve in Chicago, Shaner will open the 17-seat interior space for the first time as well.
While most of Chef Rob’s rotating menus for takeout are inspired by his past travels, including the time Chef Rob spent and lived in Paris, the patio menu will consist of a lighter “Parisian drinking fare” suited for ordering a glass of wine or summer cocktail. Guests will be offered charcuterie boards, cheese plates, mussels, and more. Pastry Chef Cati Molnar will serve homemade bread that will complement the main menu.
Patio service will be offered on Fridays and Saturdays, weather permitting. The patio will seat up to 14 guests with four tables available.
Robert Et Fils’s small team consists of Chef Rob and just two other members. However, the team is looking to expand and hire new staff members. Guests can call ahead to inquire about availability and reserve their experience. Robert Et Fils will also accept walk-ins for the patio. Rotating menus for takeout will still be available and available to purchase on Tock.
Gaijin (Fulton Market)
Gaijin features a walk-up window and patio cover. The walk-up window offers desserts like kakigori to go, savory bites such as okonomiyaki, and beverages like kaki-tails, cans of highballs, beer & sake. The patio is dog-friendly.
Formento’s (West Loop)
The outdoor patio at modern Italian restaurant in Fulton Market is available for full dinner service. Reservations available on Open Table.

The new school deli has a back patio available for dine-in and cocktails with hours of Wednesday- Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Tree House (River North)
The Italian restaurant and bar features a patio with garage doors opening up into the restaurant. Happy Hour is on Thursdays from 4-6pm with the following specials: Half off select bottles of wine, $10 Rose glasses, and $25 buckets of domestic beer (5 beers). They also offer bottomless mimosas on Sundays from 12-3pm.
Bristol (Bucktown)
The New American Bucktown neighborhood restaurant with open windows and a patio available for full dinner service including a la carte, prix-fixe, and a seven-course tasting menu with wine pairings.
Daisies (Logan Square)
The Midwestern-focused, pasta-centric Logan Square restaurant is open for full dinner service and Sunday lunch.
Nonna's (West Loop)
The Italian grab-and-go West Loop restaurant has a dog-friendly patio and counter service with 6-8 two-top tables.
Cabana Club Rooftop Pool at The Robey (Wicker Park)
The Cabana Club is located on the sixth floor of The Robey Hotel with 180-degree views of the Chicago skyline, chef-driven bites, and summertime cocktails. Cabana Club will be open to hotel guests and the general public at 11 a.m. daily on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservations).
Hannah's Bretzel (River North)
The fresh sandwich and salad shop is open with a front patio. The shop is currently open daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the LaSalle Dr location only.
Pilot Project (Logan Square)
Pilot Project is a brewery incubator, tasting room & cafe located in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. Pilot Project was launched as a collaborative and artistically curious space to help support talented brewers in an industry with exceptionally high barriers. Launching 10+ breweries since its August 2019 inception, Pilot Project is the country's first incubator dedicated to the art of brewing and community inspired by the craft.
Pilot Project has a 4000 sq ft patio, clad with graffiti from local street artists and overlooks the Congress Theater & Milwaukee Avenue. It can fit 140 people socially-distanced and is dog friendly.
The full beverage and food menus are available to order on the patio and include artisanal sandwiches, beer-inspired appetizers, beer, cider, hard kombucha and coffee.
Reservations are available through the website and walk-ins are also welcome! The hours are Sunday-Thursday from 11am-10pm and Friday & Saturday from 11am-11pm.
Cielo (Goose Island)
Cielo Rooftop at Azul (1177 N. Elston Ave.) is now open with an open-air rooftop. The lofty venue will feature an array of seating for guests to choose from including lounge-style couches, cabanas with wooden pergolas and high-top seating.
Featuring cuisine crafted by Azul’s chef Michael Herandez, the seafood-forward menu will highlight Crudos, Ceviches, Tacos, and other lighter fare. Standout menu items will include:
A tropical beverage program of Frozen Cocktails, Cervezas, Hard Seltzers and signature drinks complement the Latin-inspired fare. The drink menu brims with sippers including Frozen Mangonada with Centenario Reposado, Mango Puree, Fresh Lime Juice, Chamoy and Lime; Topo Chico Hard Seltzer Cans in a variety of flavors and Azul’s famous Margaritas.
Bottle service offerings will also be available.
Cielo Rooftop at Azul will be open from Wednesday through Friday: 5pm - midnight; and Saturday through Sunday: noon - midnight. Table reservations are required for guaranteed seating.
Tacos Guanajuato (Kildeer)
Tacos Guanajuato is celebrating the opening of its expanded outdoor patio, with an updated menu and new cocktail selections. The restaurant is open 11 AM to 9 PM, Monday through Saturday. Reservations are recommended by calling (847) 847-1056.
