Downtown, The Loop and Magnificent Mile

  • Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk

Located along the Chicago Riverwalk at Sheraton Grand Chicago, this casual, pet-friendly patio offers views of the water, city architecture and passing boats. Guests can choose burgers, milkshakes, and frozen cocktails with breezes from the river and plenty of people-watching. The spot is directly on the 1.25-mile Riverwalk. A Bark Menu is available for dogs.

  • Petterino's

Al fresco dining in the sun on Petterino’s extended outdoor patio this spring. While guests select from Italian fare on the patio, pups can partake in their very own meals. Options from the Puppy Menu include crispy pork belly or roasted diced salmon, served with rice, peas, carrots, and corn. And for dessert, guests can order their dog a Pumpkin Puppuccino or Nonna’s Favorite, a blend of Peanut Butter, Banana, Plain Yogurt, and Whipped Cream.

  • Boleo

Perched high above the city on the 15th floor of the Kimpton Gray Hotel, Boleo provides a warm-weather inspired escape in the heart of Chicago's bustling downtown. Latin-influenced cocktails, food, music and the design of the space evoke the energy of South America. Indulge with friends in Peruvian and Argentinian street food-inspired dishes underneath the restaurant’s retractable roof, a key feature for rooftops in the Midwest, while beats spun by the resident DJs set the mood for the night ahead come rain or shine. The cocktail menu features Crushers, Classics, and Sippers, ranging from house riffs on Peruvian Pisco Sours to martinis like the Atacama Oasis made from pisco, gin, vermouth, and blue oranges while the food menu showcases South American flavors.

Lakeview

  • Cesar's Killer Margaritas

Take a seat on their sidewalk patio and sink your teeth into the Quesa Birria Torta, a Mexican sandwich stacked high with Oaxaca cheese, slow-stewed beef, beans, and onions, with a consommé on the side for dipping. 

  • Bodega Sur

Part wine boutique, part café, and part bistro, this spot is a love letter to Argentina—complete with a plant-filled patio. Options include the Carpaccio, where slices of prime beef tenderloin meet stone-ground mustard chimichurri, Spanish capers, and an arugula-fennel salad tossed in lemon and garlic.

  • Farm Bar Lakeview

After walking the streets with your furry friend, rest your feet and paws at the Farm Bar patio, complete with a garden and cocktail menu. Cocktails include the Bees Knees, Cider Sangria, Chai Espresso Martini. Reservations can be made via OpenTable.

Magnificent Mile

  • Casa Chi by Richard Sandoval

Bask in the rising temps on the Mag Mile with the Nikkei retreat at Casa Chi by Chef Richard Sandoval’s outdoor patio. The 30-seat patio offers the setting to enjoy spring and summer with cocktails and bites inspired by the fusion of Japanese and Peruvian influences. While lounging on the patio, visitors can indulge in the Pour Decisions Boozy Tea Experience every Sunday from 12-4pm, or stop by during the week for a pick-me-up from 12pm-6pm.

  • La Terrace at Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile

Experience al fresco dining at La Terrace, Sofitel Chicago’s outdoor patio, where French-inspired cuisine meets an open-air setting. Nestled just outside Le Bar, this space offers the same crafted cocktails and contemporary French dishes.

River North

  • Nonnina

Nonnina’s terrace is designed with windows that can be opened to let in fresh air and radiant heat flooring that ensures a cozy atmosphere all year round. All of the items on Nonnina’s pup menu are served with a side of homemade dog biscuits so they can happy hour too.

  • Ambar

Now open this April in River North, Ambar is introducing its 46-seat outdoor patio. Guests can unwind while indulging in Balkan dishes and sipping crafted drinks. The Unlimited Tasting Experience takes diners on a culinary journey with hearty, fresh bites, ideal for enjoying the warm weather. The patio is available for guests to enjoy Unlimited Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner.

  • Maxwells Trading

Maxwells Trading's patio opens May 6, weather permitting. Patio reservations will be released daily at 10 AM CST (weather dependent), for last-minute plans.

This Argentine steakhouse takes meat seriously, grilling each cut over fragrant Quebracho wood. Dive into the El Che experience—a grilled flank steak, presented on a tabletop grill, accompanied by red chimichurri and a medley of roasted red peppers, asparagus, and shiitake mushrooms. Add a glass of Malbec, and settle into their modern patio.

  • Dell' Rooster

Over in West Town, Dell' Rooster's fusion of flavors are from all 27 Latin countries. Their Valencia-Style Seafood Paella is a saffron-infused medley of shrimp, mussels, clams, chicken, tomato sofrito, bell peppers, and bomba rice. Pair it with a Una Piñita Margarita and sink into the warm glow of twinkling patio lights.

The heated, enclosed outdoor patio extends the dining experience through early spring and well into the summer, making it a place to enjoy the new spring menu, filled with seasonal flavors that celebrate the best of the season.
