Vertigo Sky Lounge presents Fire & Ice: Vertigo on Ice

Vertigo Sky Lounge continues their outdoor winter patio and ice bar launching on Friday, February 5. As the only bar of its kind in the city, dana hotel and spa kicks off the celebration with Vertigo on Ice – a Fire & Ice launch party.

Dubbed Vertigo on Ice, the 1,000 square foot outdoor patio transforms into a luxurious winter escape. Guests are invited to dress in their finest winter wear and pop up to the 26^th floor of the dana hotel and spa and be dazzled by the 15-foot custom Svedka carved and fully stocked ice bar while enjoying a snow cone bar and a shot toddy menu. Cocktail highlights include Nothing But Trouble made with whiskey, hot apple cider, lemon and nutmeg, Sweet Heat made with rum, ginger, bitters and hot apple cider and the red and blue Fire & Ice cocktails.

Take in the sounds of DJ Sean Strange & B96 Mix Master DJ Metro amidst an array of shimmering décor like soft blue lighting, ice sculptures, a shot luge, custom Vertigo shotski and frozen seating. From frosted martini glasses to chandelier-like lighting and servers accessorized in diamonds and jewels, guests will be raising a glass all night long. When the temperatures drop in the Windy City, patrons will raise the heat by donning plush blankets, assorted furs or the lounge’s signature robes to cozy around the crystallized fire pit and roast s’mores.

Now going into its sixth year, Vertigo Sky Lounge’s Fire & Ice celebration has become an annual tradition, giving Chicago a reason to get excited about the season. Rather than hide from winter’s wrath, dana hotel and spa’s rooftop lounge embraces the big chill with the party of the year. Guests are invited to visit Vertigo Sky Lounge and experience the patio nightly, until midnight, throughout the duration of the winter season.
