Mark your calendars for these events coming up in Ravenswood in the month of July:
2nd Annual Malt Row on Damen July 17:
The Ravenswood community comes together for the 2nd Annual ‘Malt Row on Damen’ craft beer stroll on Wednesday, July 17, from 5:30-8:30 pm. The Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce partners together with Malt Row breweries and distilleries to give Chicagoans a taste of what Malt Row has to offer at local shops and restaurants along Damen Avenue.
Fun fact: all the beer produced at Malt Row on Damen comes from within 1 mile of the event.
Located along Damen Avenue between Leland and Argyle, strollers will have a diverse selection of beer tastings while visiting a variety of local small businesses. Participating breweries and distilleries include Band of Bohemia, Dovetail Brewery, Empirical Brewery, Half Acre Beer Company, KOVAL Distillery, and Spiteful Brewing.
“Malt Row on Damen is a smaller, more concentrated community event so people can really get to know our local businesses,” says Gene Wagendrof III, Associate Director of the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a great way to enjoy a mid-week evening with friends after work. Grab a beer, walk around exploring Damen Avenue, Malt Row, and finish the night listening to live music at the farmers market.”
Besides the breweries, additional Ravenswood businesses participating in the stroll include Amy’s Candy Bar, District, Eye See Ravenswood, Gallery Studio Oh!, One Key Yoga, Ravensgoods, Rock n’ Roll Vintage Guitar, and more. Once strollers have finished exploring, they can visit the Ravenswood Farmers Market for an evening with live music, food, and a plethora of special guest vendors. More information on participating vendors coming soon.
Malt Row on Damen is Wednesday, July 17th from 5:30pm - 8:30pm. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 day-of if there is still availability. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended as this event tends to sell out. Information regarding check-in and wristband pick-up for Malt Row on Damen will be released soon.
Participants will receive a RAVENSWOOD tote bag featuring goodies from DEFY, Erwin Law, Lena Rose Beauty, maternal Child Connection, My Buddy’s, Rogers Park Montessori School, Tytin Jewelry, and more!
