Robert’s Pizza is hosting its second annual Howl-o-Ween event. All dog owners are welcome to stop by Robert’s on Saturday, October 29th from 2pm – 4pm for a special dog costume contest. The contest will feature a winner for three different costume categories: scariest, cutest, and most creative.
Humans will have a chance to compete too so come ready to win. Plus, a professional pet photographer will be on-site to capture photos you can keep. Winners receive a $25 Robert’s Pizza gift card and gift basket from Kriser’s Natural Pet in Streeterville.
Dog treats will be available for the pups and there will be Halloween cocktails for the humans. A portion of all sales will be donated to the Anti-Cruelty Society and PAWS Chicago.

Ambassador Chicago, a JDV by Hyatt Hotel,announces a full slate of Halloween-themed events to coincide with the ghoulish holiday weekend, Friday Oct. 28-Monday, Oct. 31. Gold Coast residents and surrounding-area community members are invited to attend the hair-raising happenings including a kickoff bash—Phantom of the Ambassador—Friday evening, Halloween Afternoon Tea on Saturday and Sunday, and a spooky, special BOOzy Brunch on Sunday. The frightful and fun weekend concludes on Monday with Trick-or-Treating.
Phantom of the Ambassador
Kicking off the weekend on Friday, Oct. 28 is Phantom of the Ambassador and VIP access to Terror on the Terrace, from 7 p.m.-midnight in the historic hotel’s onsite restaurant, The Ambassador Room, and on the 17th floor rooftop terrace. The occasion features champagne upon arrival, live music, photo opportunities, costume contests, passed appetizers, sweets table, spooktacular-themed cocktails off the Deadly Drink menu, and a surprise performance by the Sanderson Sisters from the film Hocus Pocus. Trick-or-treat bags, inclusive of handmade candy by Ambassador Chicago’s Pastry Chef and other gifts, will also be given out to guests in attendance. The winner of the costume contest will win an overnight stay at Ambassador Chicago along with a $100 food and beverage credit that can be redeemed onsite.
General admission to Phantom of the Ambassador is $150 per person. VIP tickets are also available for $600/booth for up to five guests. BOOths will come with one bottle of wine, one bottle of alcohol, and additional mixers for the table. Eight VIP booths are available. Costumes are encouraged.
Halloween Afternoon Tea
On Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30, Ambassador Chicago offers Halloween-themed Afternoon Tea in the Library space from noon-3 p.m. on both days. Food and beverage options include a selection of house-made, European-style scones and pastries, tea sandwiches, themed cocktails, and more. Ambassador Tea is $65 per adult and $35 for kids ages 8 and younger.
BOOzy Brunch
On Sunday, Oct. 30, the hotel’s onsite restaurant, The Ambassador Room, offers a special, BOOzy Brunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The Halloween brunch buffet features a variety of food selections including breakfast options like Croque Paris and Mini Parfaits, seafood station, salad bar, dessert station, and dedicated kid’s corner alongside a multitude of beverage options. There is the classic movie, “Flash Dance,” but The Godfrey Hotel, throws an all-out thriller Halloween party, then the party will appropriately be called, “Slash Dance.”

Schaumburg Halloween Carnival
The inaugural Schaumburg Halloween Carnival offers Chicagoland families to experience two full weekends (October 21-23 & October 28-30) of nostalgic, family fun featuring spooky rides, tasty treats, trick-or-treating, seasonally themed arts and crafts, a beer garden and more. Entrance and parking to the carnival is free for all attendees.
The carnival is hosting two food and beverage vendors – The Popcorn Wagon and Funnel Cake Trailer, who will serve classic carnival fare like funnel cakes, corn dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, nachos and more. Oda Mediterranean Cuisine
Inspired by Halloween, Oda Mediterranean in Andersonville has created a spooky cocktail special available for the month of October. Made in honor of Oda’s resident doll, Agness, Agie's Potion features black rice infused vodka, pomegranate juice, peach schnapps, lemon juice, and edible glitter.
Owner and Chef Marina Cardak found the doll, Agness (Agie), in an antique store in Andersonville around the time that they opened Oda Mediterranean. Since then Agie can be seen posing around the restaurant and showcasing Oda’s menu.

Remedy in Bucktown will host on Thursday, October 27 for the “Spooky Halloween” Drag Show hosted by diva Ranger Cheeks, Marvette Devo and Candi Forest. Guests will be offered Remedy’s half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m before the drag show begins at 7 p.m.

Ambassador Chicago, a JDV by Hyatt Hotel, announces a full slate of Halloween-themed events to coincide with the ghoulish holiday weekend, Friday Oct. 28-Monday, Oct. 31. Gold Coast residents and surrounding-area community members are invited to attend the hair-raising happenings including a kickoff bash—Phantom of the Ambassador—Friday evening, Halloween Afternoon Tea on Saturday and Sunday, and a spooky, special BOOzy Brunch on Sunday. The frightful and fun weekend concludes on Monday with Trick-or-Treating.
Kicking off the weekend on Friday, Oct. 28 is Phantom of the Ambassador and VIP access to Terror on the Terrace, from 7 p.m.-midnight in the historic hotel’s onsite restaurant, The Ambassador Room, and on the 17th floor rooftop terrace. The occasion features champagne upon arrival, live music, photo opportunities, costume contests, passed appetizers, sweets table, spooktacular-themed cocktails off the Deadly Drink menu, and a surprise performance by the Sanderson Sisters from the film Hocus Pocus. Trick-or-treat bags, inclusive of handmade candy by Ambassador Chicago’s Pastry Chef and other gifts, will also be given out to guests in attendance. The winner of the costume contest will win an overnight stay at Ambassador Chicago along with a $100 food and beverage credit that can be redeemed onsite.
General admission to Phantom of the Ambassador is $150 per person. VIP tickets are also available for $600/booth for up to five guests. BOOths will come with one bottle of wine, one bottle of alcohol, and additional mixers for the table. Eight VIP booths are available. Costumes are encouraged.
On Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30, Ambassador Chicago offers Halloween-themed Afternoon Tea in the Library space from noon-3 p.m. on both days. Ambassador Tea is $65 per adult and $35 for kids ages 8 and younger.

Entrance and parking to the carnival is free for all attendees.
The carnival is hosting two food and beverage vendors – The Popcorn Wagon and Funnel Cake Trailer, who will serve classic carnival fare like funnel cakes, corn dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, nachos and more. Additionally, hot chocolate (served boozy or traditional style), soda pop and a selection of beers will also be available.
Those bringing children to the carnival, Trick-or-Treat will be hosted by all vendors each day of the carnival. Children will be provided with a special trick-or-treat bag and can collect goodies from each vendor. Additionally, families canstop by the facepainting booth and crafts tent to participate in free “make and take” kids crafts, such as DIY Halloween mason jar luminaries.

Alternatively, Fantasy Amusements will be offering their new FunTagg ticketing system for those who prefer to pay per ride. The FunTagg system is an onsite kiosk for visitors to purchase a card that is loaded with credits and then scanned at each ride, with credits being deducted per scan. Each ride uses between 24 to 48 credits.
West Town Bakery
Now through October 24th, the urban bakery, café and diner is offering Halloween themed treats, which include boosicles, candy corn cakeballs, pumpkin pop tarts and more. Customers can pre-order items for pickup through the West Town Bakery website and pickup at any of its four locations. Select seasonal items will be available in-store on a rotating basis.
Utopian Tailgate
The rooftop above The Second City, is offering Halloween themed cocktails, which include I Want Candy (candy corn casamigos, vanilla vodka, triple sec, lime juice), Monster Mash (gin, cocalero, honey, lime juice) and Taste the Rainbow (skittles rum, simple syrup, lime juice). In addition, Utopian Tailgate will be hosting a Halloweek Beer Pong Tournament starting Sunday, October 23 at 12pm throughout HalloWEEK. 64 teams will compete for a grand prize of $500 and 10% of all ticket sales will be donated to the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. An entry ticket costs $50 for a team of two, and includes a six pack of beer to kick the team’s day off. To reserve a spot, a team can purchase an entry ticket via Resy.
The Berkshire Room
The cocktail bar in River North located in the Acme Hotel, will be hosting a Halloween event featuring its spooky and festive cocktails that will feature a Cauldron large format drink for groups and many other cocktails. In addition, the event will offer a DJ, costume contest complete with prizes and Halloween decor. Reservations can be made via Resy.
aliveOne
To kick off Halloween weekend, aliveOne in Lincoln Park will host a Halloween live music showcase in the Back Room on Friday, October 28 at 9 p.m. There is no cover charge and featured local bands include Turn N Fire, Nice Motor, and Anything is Everything covering bands like Limp Bizkit, Against Me, and 90’s hits from The Clinton Years.
Bartoli's Pizzeria
Bartoli’s Pizzeria has created a new pizza that brings the heat. Available at both the Roscoe Village and West Town locations, The Diavolo features soppressata, capocollo, ricotta, and Calabrian chili peppers and is drizzled Mike’s Hot Honey. The spicy pie is available in deep dish or thin crust.
Central Park Bar
In celebration of their one-year anniversary this October, Central Park Bar in Avondale will host a Halloween costume party on Saturday, October 29 from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. on the patio. Guests can dress up in Halloween attire and the evening will feature drink specials like a $5 Frozen Spiced Latte (Misunderstood Ginger Spiced Whiskey, Maplewood Coffee Liqueur, oat milk, cookie syrup, and a cinnamon stick) and free photobooth photos for all. DJ ZZZosma will spin jams all evening and there will be prizes for best Halloween costume.
Cody's Public House
Cody’s Public House in West Lakeview will host a Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest on October 30th. Guests can come early for the Bears vs Cowboys at 12 p.m. and stay for the costume contest which will kick off at 3 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best Doggy Costume ($100) and Best Dog + Human Combo Costume ($200). There will be raffles benefiting Alive Rescue and a Halloween-themed drink menu. Specials will include $6 Tito’s Vodka, $5 Hop Valley beers and FREE Chicago Dogs.
Cody’s Public House will also host a Day of the Dead-themed Halloween party on Monday, October 31. The party will feature specials like $5 Dos Equis, $5 Cuervo Tradicional shots and $6 Dos Equis Margarita Cans. Guests will be provided Dos Equis and Cuervo samplings, giveaways and Day of the Dead characters will be in attendance for photo opps and entertainment.
Easy Bar
Easy Bar hosts a pumpkin carving contest on Monday, October 24 at 7 p.m. New Belgium will supply FREE pumpkins and carving tools for cutting and decorating while patrons get creative. New Belgium swag bags will be given out for the “best pumpkin”, “most creative” and “the ugliest”. Pumpkins are first-come, first-served and only available while supplies last. Guests can select a New Belgium beer sampling and Easy Bar’s Monday specials like $8 beer and shot combos. Those who arrive early can kick off the evening with half-price happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Estelle's
Chicagoans who visit Estelle’s on Halloween will be offered a half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. along with themed specials like $5 Surly Hell Lager drafts. As a special treat, burgers will be half-price all night long.
Matcha Cita
As a nod to Halloween, Matcha Cita in the West Loop and River North will feature a specialty “Spooky Latte” featuring Matcha Cita’s signature Charcoal Latte with matcha and vanilla almond milk and topped with a festive orange colored cold foam. The drink will be available Sunday, October 16 through Monday, October 31 and can be ordered hot or iced for $6.75.
Oda Mediterranean Cuisine
Inspired by Halloween, Oda Mediterranean in Andersonville has created a spooky cocktail special available for the month of October. Made in honor of Oda’s resident doll, Agness, Agie's Potion features black rice infused vodka, pomegranate juice, peach schnapps, lemon juice, and edible glitter.
Owner and Chef Marina Cardak found the doll, Agness (Agie), in an antique store in Andersonville around the time that they opened Oda Mediterranean. Since then Agie can be seen posing around the restaurant and showcasing Oda’s menu.
Remedy
Remedy in Bucktown will host on Thursday, October 27 for the “Spooky Halloween” Drag Show hosted by diva Ranger Cheeks, Marvette Devo and Candi Forest. Guests will be offered Remedy’s half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m before the drag show begins at 7 p.m.
Sweet Mandy B's
To celebrate Halloween, Sweet Mandy B’s in Lincoln Park and Streeterville will offer festive treats available from Monday, October 24 through Monday, October 31. Guests can select items like Iced Sweetie Pies, Iced Rice Krispies, Furry Monster Brownies, Graveyard Brownies, Bloody Red Velvet Cupcakes, Mummy Cupcakes, and a six pack of decorated cupcakes (decoration will vary). A variety of decorated cakes will also be available like Happy Halloween, Candy Corn, Pumpkin Patch, and Frankenstein (limited quantities of the Frankenstein cake will be available).
The Graystone Tavern
The Graystone Tavern in Wrigleyville will host a Vikings-themed Halloween party on Sunday, October 30. A Minnesota Vikings-affiliated bar, Graystone will broadcast the game vs the Cardinals at 12 p.m., and guests who dress to impress in their best viking costume will receive a FREE Skol Bomb (Three Olives Grape with Red Bull Blue edition).
There will be a viking costume contest with the winner receiving a $200 Graystone gift card as well as game day raffles. Drink specials will include $5 Skol Bombs, $5 Surly Drafts, $6 Goose Island Drafts and $20 Domestic Buckets.
The Owl
The Owl in Logan Square will host a Psychedelic Disco Punk Dance Party on Monday, October 31 that runs from midnight until 4 a.m. Party-goers can sip on festive fall beers like Southern Tier Pumking, Temperance Oktoberfest, Schlafly Pumpkin Ale, Hopewell Harvest Pale Ale, and Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier all night long.

The Rambler Kitchen + Tap in North Center will host a “Monster Bash: ‘Til Death Do Us Part-y” on Saturday, October 29 from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. For $40 per person, guests can partake in all drafts, import and domestic beer, call liquor, chicken tenders, a nacho bar, taco bar, mac and cheese, fries, tots and more. There will be a costume contest with the best solo costume winning $100 and the best group costume (2 to 6 people) winning $200 or a full refund on their party package fee. Show up to the Italian steakhouse in costume for a free tiramisu (with entree) from Thursday, October 27 through Monday, October 31. Start your evening with sips of The Blood Orange Sidecar Cocktail ($15), a blend of Rémy Martin 1738 Cognac, Blood Orange infusion, Cointreau, and fresh lemon juice topped with a festive gummy eye-ball.

On Sunday, October 30, District Brew Yards (417 N Ashland Ave) will be hosting a Halloween Dog Costume Party at its beer garden from 1- 5 p.m. Pups and parents are encouraged to dress up and enjoy brews and boos this Halloween weekend. On October 27th from 9-11PM, Tack Room is throwing a Stevie Nicks-themed drag show event called Season of the Witch. The cozy cocktail bar in Thalia Hall will feature drag performer Wanda Screw and musician Kevan Eftekhari. This event is open to the public and has no cover charge.
Lou's Backyard & Moneygun
Lou's Backyard & MONEYGUN (664 W Lake St) will host on Halloween weekend (10/28-31) their ode to Southern turn-up culture: a late night WAFFLE HOME pop-up experience where classic, made-with-love diner food meets fierce flavors. The Menu, available from 6pm to 12:45am includes classics like Eggs, Sausage, and Bacon paired with elevated dishes like Smothered Hash Browns and Chicken and Waffles.

Newly opened Barcocina West Town will face off against its Lakeview location with a North v. West Haunted Homecoming bash. At either location on October 29, celebrate spooky season with a 3-hour open bar featuring Mexican beer, house margaritas, signature cocktails, and wine. Entertainment includes a DJ, photo booth, a costume contest with a cash prize. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased separately for West Town and Lakeview locations.
