Throughout the classes on Saturday, September 21 and Saturday, October 5 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., participants learn the art of modern handwriting while enjoying a brunch at Travelle, a restaurant, lounge, and bar featuring Chef Jeff Vucko’s seasonal American cuisine.
Calligraphy – is an art form that adds personalization to cards, notes, and gifts. These calligraphy workshops give guests the opportunity to learn a new skill while creating a piece to take home. During the workshop, Ricki teaches participants proper brush technique – including pressure, sizing, and spacing – with assorted brush pens and on various types of paper.
The seminar includes all required tools for the art of modern handwriting, and after students learn the techniques, they will be provided a brunch from Chef Jeff and Pastry Chef Danielle Marelli. The three-course brunch includes a welcome glass of champagne, followed by a seasonal fruit platter and shared Chicken & Waffles and Avocado Toast for the first course; a second course choice of English Benedict, Travelle Benedict, or ‘MAC’ Burger; and shared Chocolate Tart and Banoffee Bread Pudding for dessert.
