Recently-opened Artango Bar & Steakhouse welcomes top Tango dance pros Cristian Correa Cordobes and Leah Barsky this Friday, June 24, and Saturday, June 25. The free, 20-minute performance begins at 9pm each night. The Argentine-born Cristian, and German-born Leah, perform and compete regularly throughout the United States, Europe, and Argentina.
The new 175-seat Artango Bar & Steakhouse draws inspiration from the 1920s Golden Age of Buenos Aires, when the increasingly cosmopolitan city was teeming with nightlife, restaurants, and Tango salons.
The menufocuses on Argentine grilled steaks, meats and seafood, along with 1920s retro cocktails like the Savoy Corpse Reviver, White Lady, and Daisy Cutter Martini. A menu of small plates and appetizers for sharing, including an array of ceviches and empanadas, along with Provoleta -- melted smoked provolone, cherry tomatoes and chimichurri, and traditional Argentine favorite Matambre -- stuffed flank steak with hared boiled egg, bell pepper, kale, garlic, olives and spicy mayo.
