Vanille Patisserie has announced the three finalists in their annual macaron flavor contest: Blueberry Cheesecake, Ginger Lime and Seven Layer Bar. Every summer, Vanille Patisserie invites the public to submit ideas for new macaron flavors on the Vanille Facebook page. The Vanille team then selects three finalists to be sold in stores for a limited time.
“We look forward to giving our customers the opportunity to add to our award-winning lineup of macaron flavors every summer,” said Sophie Evanoff, president of Vanille Patisserie. “Our customers share some great suggestions and we encourage everyone to stop in and taste the finalist's flavors and vote for their favorite macaron,” added Evanoff.
The three flavors will be packaged and sold together at a discounted rate of $5 from August 13 - September 3. Purchasers of the finalist package can vote for their favorite flavor in all four Vanille locations: Lincoln Park (2108 N. Clark St.) Lakeview (3243 N. Broadway) Chicago French Market inside Ogilvie Metra Station (131 N. Clinton Ave.) and Hyde Park (5229 S. Harper Court).
A winner will be announced on September 7, at which time the winning flavor will be added to Vanille’s lineup of macarons. The person suggesting the winning flavor receives a $250 gift card to Vanille. The providers of the second and third place suggestions will receive $100 gift cards.
