The Violet Hour Launches "Breaking the House Rules" Series

The Violet Hour, in Wicker Park, is launching a quarterly takeover series called, “Breaking the House Rules.” Once a season, a beloved bar — either locally or nationally— will be invited to The Violet Hour for a full on takeover of the establishment and will dream up an exclusive drink menu for the evening. The well-known TVH house rules will go out the window for the evening in the spirit of collaboration and spontaneity. The first in the series will be Detroit craft cocktail bar, Sugar House.

Sugar House will be making its way to Chicago to take over The Violet Hour on Monday, September 19th from 6:00PM to 1:00AM. The first-come, first-served event will offer a one-night only, curated cocktail menu highlighting a number of Sugar House’s hits served up by their head bartenders Jason Leinart and Yani Moraitis Frye. You can expected to see inventive offerings such as the Blackfoot Old Fashioned, Fool’s Gold, Room Key, Historic Brownfield Project, Fist Fight, Detective Inspector, Knackery and the EFK.
