The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago has launched a lineup of events for summer in the Windy City.

Flight of Butterflies - Through September 2024

In celebration of nature, art and storytelling, The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago has partnered with the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, The Magnificent Mile Association and Chicago-based artist Nnenna Okore for a citywide outdoor exhibit featuring 29 butterfly sculptures. A professor at Chicago’s North Park University, Okore draws inspiration from her natural surroundings, creating works of art using biodegradable materials like bioplastics to incite awareness about sustainable practices in art. Located at the hotel’s entrance on East Pearson Street, The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago’s 6-foot-tall butterfly made of wood and aluminum features an augmented-reality experience that allows users to immerse themselves in the installation. It also maps out 10 other sculptures along the Magnificent Mile.

Torali Rooftop - Open for the Summer

All summer long, guests can order sharable plates and cocktails while supporting Anti-Cruelty, a Chicago-based nonprofit supporting animal welfare and humane education. For every Tito’s Vodka Blueberry Shandy cocktail sold, the hotel and Tito’s will each donate $1 to the organization (up to $3,000). Rooftop at Torali will also feature live music every Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. from a rotating lineup of local talent, including Annalee Hooson, Matt Kysia and DJ Eliana.
