On Saturday, April 18th at 8pm, The Promontory is partnering with neighbor Hyde Park Records to celebrate Record Store Day by hosting an official after-party to keep the day's festivities going. Guests who bring their newly-purchased soul records to The Promontory's downstairs bar after 8pm can have their records played while enjoying ambitious beverages and inventive cuisine from Michelin starred Chef Jared Wentworth. Upstairs at the music venue, comedian Dick Gregory takes the stage at 8pm, and anyone who brings a Dick Gregory vinyl record will receive $5 off a $15 standing room ticket. After 11pm, admission is free as The Promontory After Dark hosts a vinyl-only set from D&E Disco Edits.
But the party doesn't stop there! On Sunday, April 19th, The Promontory will bask in the Record Store Day afterglow by honoring the Dick Gregory vinyl discount for the comic’s 6pm show. At 9pm, The Promontory will host a record release and listening party for MC Lyte’s Record Store Day release, Legend.
