Kicking off this month, Chef Noah Zamler will host a pasta-making workshop at the West Loop restaurant. On July 23rd starting at 12pm, participants will learn how to make a classic Roman noodle tonnarelli while also learning the importance of sourcing eggs, flour, and olive oil during the experience. 

Following the class, participants will sit to lunch featuring a tour of Roman pasta. Sampling tonnarelli made in different Roman styles: Cacio e Pepe, carbonara, and amatriciana. Guests will also select a bottle of red, white, or rose wine from the same Roman Lazio region to pair with their lunch. At the end of the event, attendees will get to bring home pasta ingredients, recipe cards, sauces, and more. The gift bag will also include a pound of pasta, an amatriciana sauce accompaniment, and a small loaf of bread.

Future sessions of Basta Pasta at The Press Room will take place on August 20 and September 17. The new sessions will also explore handmade pasta-making techniques and tour different regions of Italy. Diners can reserve their spot via Tock, each ticket includes two guests.
