The Gwen Hotel has released their next set of Tipsy Tea Party themes. With seatings at 12pm and 2:30pm on Saturdays, experience this boozy twist on traditional high tea, complete with small bites, cocktails, a DJ spinning.  Tipsy Tea is only on Saturdays in July & August and will resume Sunday tea service in September.  

"Peachy Keen" Tipsy Tea Party menu options: 

  • Buttermilk Biscuit - with cowboy butter 

  • Hummingbird Cake - pecans banana, spice, pineapple, cream cheese icing

  • Red Velvet Cake 

  • Chocolate Pecan Pie 

  • Texas Banana Pudding 

  • Texas Sopapilla Cheese Cake 

  • Sweet Tea Sour  - Uncle Nearest whiskey, Monarch peach, lemon juice, black tea syrup, concord grape wine

  • Deep Eddy Grapefruit Lemonade - Deep Eddy grapefruit vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, grapefruit elixir tea

  • Texas Refresher - berry meritage tea infused Titos vodka, fragoli, lemon juice, owen’s cucumber mix

  • Tipsy Ranch Water - Hornitos tequila, lime juice, emperor’s chamomile citron tea, topo chico

  • Hard Ice Tea - Illegal Mezcal, Bertoux brandy, lemon syrup, iced tea 

AUGUST - "Café Olympique" Tipsy Tea Party

From the Champs-Élysées to your glass, this tea-infused cocktails are a celebration of Olympic fervor and French flair. A soirée with treats and live DJ tunes. Menu options include:

  • Artichoke Beignet - herbed cream cheese, parmesan

  • Quiche Lorraine - bacon, Swiss cheese

  • Gougeres - gruyere 

  • Macarons 

  • Tea Tower

  • Crepe Suzette - vanilla orange syrup, candied orange 

SEPTEMBER - "All That Jazz" Tipsy Tea Party menu options:

  • Italian Beef Crostini - giardiniera salsa, parmesan, frisee 

  • Publican Rye - smoked salmon, cream cheese, everything bagel spice 

  • Greektown Spanakopita 

  • Red Velvet Cake

  • Chicago Popcorn
