The next Bites & Vines pairing at The Gwen Hotel is on Friday, October 4 at 6pm. The Prisoner Wine Company has teamed up with "The Blending Lab" to offer an immersive wine blending experience during this dinner. Guests will receive an interactive kit guiding them through the art of blending their own wine. Three unlabeled 100% varietal wines—Cabernet, Syrah, and Zinfandel—will be presented in laboratory-style tasting glasses. Guests will explore each wine individually, evaluating key characteristics such as tannins, acidity, body, and sweetness to identify their preferences. Afterward, they will experiment by blending small percentages of the wines to craft their blend. For example, if Wine #1 is a bit too dry, adding a splash of Wine #3 might bring the right level of sweetness. By the end of the evening, guests will create their own signature blend, which they'll take home in a self-decorated bottle. Tickets are $75 each and can be booked on Eventbrite.
