The Davis Theater and Carbon Arc Bar & Board are celebrating the release of Thor: Love & Thunder with an opening night costume contest on Thursday, July 7 from 7pm – 9pm. The Grand Prize Winner will be going home with 5 sets of tickets to upcoming Chicago Cubs games at Wrigley Field.
With summer Blockbuster season well underway, comic book and Thor fans are encouraged to dress in their “Asgardian Best” to compete for one of three prizes that will be awarded before the end of the night. The evening will be hosted in Carbon Arc Thor films playing in the background, open mic comedy, and more. Food and drink specials include $5 Ezra Brooks Shots, $10 Specialty Cocktails, and $10 Burgers & Sandwiches.
Do you have what it takes to bring the best costume to the stage? Prizes will be awarded to the three best costumes. The grand prize includes a set of (4) tickets to 5 upcoming Chicago Cubs games, a gift card for dinner at Carbon Arc, and (4) Movie Tickets.
All ages are welcome to attend and participate in the costume contest. No registration is necessary, simply show up with the most creative costume you can assemble. After the contest, head into The Davis Theater for a 9:30pm screening of Thor: Love & Thunder to kick off the opening weekend a little early and avoid spoilers.
