Chef Sangate Park and Kate Park of HIS Hospitality, the group behind Omakase Yume and Bonyeon, have announced a brand new addition to TenGoku Aburiya, a Japanese gastropub for an izakaya experience, opened in the West Loop in 2020. TenGoku’s tableside “Yakiniku” experience will be set on the outdoor patio of TenGoku Aburiya. Referring to the Japanese style of grilling bite-sized pieces of meat, Yakiniku includes a Kurobuta set (pork belly), Ssam (lettuce wrap), and Mul-kimchi (Korean water kimchi with radish and cabbage, as well as cold konnyaku noodles) for $24 per set. Customize each bite with two sauces, ssamjang and sesame oil, and grill the meats right at the table. In addition to the Yakiniku service, guests can choose from TenGoku dishes including Waygu Fried Rice, Soba noodles, Sushi, and more, plus drinks like Sake, Soju, and signature cocktails.
