Spring has sprung, and Forum 55 is updating its look with a new restaurant and new menu items for guests.
Capping off its recent renovation, the lunchtime destination at 55 E. Monroe St. is welcoming its newest restaurant partner, Taco Joint. In addition, the Loop food hall will launch new menus, more breakfast offerings and weekly specials across its signature stations. And for sweet tooths, Forum 55 is now baking all of its pastries in-house.
Taco Joint will make its debut at Forum 55 on Thursday, May 9. The menu of plates, salads, “burritas,” and, of course, tacos features grilled meats such as barbacoa beef, Baja fish and meatless options such as citrus-habanero roasted cauliflower. The new installment at Forum 55 will be Taco Joint’s second location.
Forum 55 lunch-goers also can look forward to new menu items at the Sandwich Shop and other stations, including the “Maple Leaf” sandwich featuring roasted turkey, swiss, tomato, red onion, arugula and maple Dijon on artisan wheat ($7) and a new Fire Dragon Roll ($13) with spicy tuna, cream cheese, scallions, unagi, avocado, and orange tobiko from Friends Sushi & Ramen.
The food hall is evolving its breakfast game as well with fresh-baked pastries made in-house daily. Guests can look forward to the aromas of new items like Cinnamon Monkey Bread warming the air while they pick up a pastry or one of the weekly breakfast specials from Prelude like the Texas Hash ($7.50) with 12-hour smoked brisket, corn, jalapenos, potatoes, peppers and onions and two eggs.
