sweetgreen has opened its 15th Chicago-area restaurant in the Gold Coast Historic District as of Tuesday, August 23rd,
Located on the main intersection in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood, the cozy 2,230 sq ft location (2 W. Division Street) accommodates 18 diners inside and 12 diners outside. The restaurant features monochromatic hand-made zellige tile with custom neon signage, and includes a designated pick-up area for online orders and delivery couriers.
Alongside staple menu items, the Gold Coast location opens with sweetgreen’s late summer menu which features the Elote Bowl, the Summer BBQ Salad made with all the summer picnic fixings, and the Roasted Corn + Peppers side dish.
For every bowl sold on opening day, sweetgreen will donate a bowl to its local impact partner, Nourishing Hope for people throughout Chicago facing food insecurity. Nourishing Hope is an established Chicago food pantry that ensures 70,000 families in Chicago have enough food to eat each year.
