Robert’s Pizza & Dough Co. has announced a partnership with the Chicago Sky WNBA team at Wintrust Arena. The Streeterville pizzeria will be a marketing partner at Chicago Sky home games for a two-year contract covering the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
“We’ve been Sky fans for some time now,” shares Robert Garvey, founder of Robert’s Pizza & Dough Co. “Our daughter (Lia) played in middle and high school, and we loved our outings to Sky games (back in the Rosemont days) to watch and follow the teamwork. It’s a great opportunity to be a part of the Sky family and we’re excited for all the fun we’ll have collaborating this season.”
The Chicago Sky partnership is a venture to kick off the five-year anniversary Robert’s Pizza is celebrating this summer. “We are thrilled to welcome Robert’s Pizza to the Sky family,” said Alex Teodosi, Chicago Sky’s Vice President of Corporate Partnerships. “Pizza is integral to Chicago, and it’s an honor to bring delicious Robert’s Pizza to Skytown, while supporting a local business that shares the Sky values of grit, teamwork, perseverance, and community. We can’t wait to try the new Sky Pie!”
As a part of the overall partnership, Robert’s Pizza will provide pies for the team, staff, and media during home games. They will be presenting partners with on-court activations, and giveaways. Robert’s Pizza will also be featured on LED screens and the Jumbotron during home games throughout Wintrust arena.
“There’s so much to look forward to with the Chicago Sky this year and we’re grateful to include this partnership in the restaurant’s continued growth,” shares Garvey. “We’re launching a Chicago Sky pizza to serve at the restaurant which will debut in late July with a portion of the proceeds benefiting SKY Cares, and of course, our team is excited to attend home games and cheer them on.” Inspired by the Sky Squad’s favorite pizza ingredients, the Sky Pie will feature an EVOO base, BBQ chicken, banana peppers, pineapple, and mozzarella, finished with edible glitter and a side of Ranch.
As a final element of the partnership, Robert’s Pizza will host in-restaurant events throughout the Chicago Sky season. Fans can expect watch parties for the Olympic basketball games and more.
