Stix & Stones Wood Fired Pizza brings the taste of Naples to Chicago suburb, Burr Ridge. Offering a unique blend of fast casual and upscale dining, Stix & Stones serves up a Neapolitan inspired menu including wood fired pizza, handmade sandwiches, salads, and a selection of specialty beer and wine.
The menu remains true to Neapolitan traditions by using quality ingredients including house made mozzarella, hand-sliced meats, and pizze made in a handmade oven imported oven from Naples.
Traditional Neapolitan "Pizze"
The made-from-scratch dough undergoes a meticulous process that takes up to four days to reach perfect pizza consistency. Every pizza begins innocently as a simple mixture of Caputo's Tipo '00' flour, perfectly tempered water, sea salt and fresh yeast. Once the dough rises, it is hand balled, and hand stretched to order.The dough is then topped with a fresh tomato sauce, made with San Marzano tomatoes, simple sea salt seasonings and fresh mozzarella cheese, made in house by Stix & Stones Master Cheesemakers. The pizze is then baked in its oak-wood fire stone oven at 800 degrees Fahrenheit until it's soft, tender, and fragrant. What sets a Neapolitan style pizze apart from the average pizza is the characteristics of the crust. Each pizza should have unique leoparding around the edge of the crust, and a slight char from the wood fired oven. The pizze should have a soft center with a perfect balance of sauce and cheese, best enjoyed right out of the oven.Their pizza toppings range from the classic Margherita with fresh basil pizza to chef-inspired variants such as wild mushrooms and arugula, sausage and broccolini, Honey Luv (Spicy pepperoni), and the Speck and egg pizza, which is an Italian specialty pizza.

The menu also contains an array of made-to-order offerings including Wood Roasted Chicken sandwiches; all sandwiches are finished in the wood fire to achieve a smoky finished flavor and toasted crust. Other sandwiches include the house-roasted Twisted Turkey, with bacon shredded lettuce tomato, sundried aioli, shaved red onion, and oregano. The Hippie, which is a vegetarian sandwich with wild mushrooms on our Peddler Bread (our dough made in a pita like pocket), and the self-proclaimed Italian lover's sandwich known as The Italian consisting of, Mortadella, pepperoni, rosemary ham, fresh mozzarella, shredded lettuce, shaved onion, tomatoes, and oregano vinaigrette.
Stix & Stones also infuses its flavor in fresh greens such as the Stix House Salad, its House Made Mozzarella Salad with wood roasted grapes, Wood Roasted Chicken, Chopped, and the Triple Berry.
