Steak 48 Chicago has announced the appointment of new General Manager, Joe Taylor, and Executive Chef,

Mathew Smith, both local Chicago hospitality and culinary executives.

With more than 20 years of culinary experience, Chef Smith is committed to sourcing and preparing the finest ingredients and serving the highest quality steak and seafood. Taylor has more than 40 years of experience working in Chicago’s hospitality industry and previously held positions at several Chicago restaurants like Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse and Mastro’s Steakhouse. At Steak 48, he’ll oversee the day-to-day operations and lead the restaurant team of over 100 employees.
