The commute to work (and to lunch!) just got a bit more egg-cellent.  Stan’s Donuts & Coffee has announced the launch of its first-ever egg sandwich, named Stanwich.  Available all day while supplies last, Stanwiches will be offered beginning November 9 at Stan’s Wicker Park, Oakbrook Terrace, and Streeterville locations.

Years in the making, Stan’s ‘Chief Doughboy’ Rich Labriola wants to raise the bar on the egg sandwich. “You can’t make an omelet, after all, without cracking a few eggs, and there’s plenty of opportunity to create an even more satisfying sandwich,” remarks Labriola.

He nestles the Stanwich on Stan’s very own Parker House rolls, baked fresh from his yeast-raised donut dough for a vanilla-infused, brioche-like flavor.  The baker also uses cage-free eggs, cheese and a choice of cherry-smoked bacon or plant-based sausage.  Stanwich options include: Egg and cheese ($3.99); egg, bacon and cheese ($4.99); and egg, plant-based sausage and cheese ($4.99).  

Customers can round out their morning order by making it a combo and adding a medium coffee. It’s $5.49 for an egg & cheese Stanwich and a medium coffee, or $5.99 for an egg, bacon & cheese or egg, plant-based sausage & cheese Stanwich and a medium coffee. Customers can pair a Stanwich with a howler of Stan’s Cold Brew or Bourbon Barrel Cold Brew from local roaster Hexe Coffee Co. for those of us who need a little extra caffeine jolt in the mornings.

In celebration of the launch, all Stan’s mobile app users will receive a free Stanwich from November 9-11 with the purchase of any item and show proof of download.
