Stan’s Donuts & Coffee is partnering up with the national bakeshop Magnolia Bakery this summer to create a sweet treat. Using Magnolia Bakery’s banana pudding as inspiration, Stan’s has created a Banana Pudding Bismark for all customers combining the sweetness of a donut and the creamy banana pudding flavor. The collaboration donut will be available beginning June 29 through July 12 at all Stan’s locations.
The partnership came to fruition when Stan’s founder, Rich Labriola, was given the Magnolia Bakery banana pudding, which is made with vanilla wafers, fresh bananas and creamy vanilla pudding, for his birthday and immediately got the inspiration for a collaboration. Made with Stan’s classic bismark donut, the Banana Pudding Bismark is cut in half and filled with a combination of pastry cream, mashed bananas and crushed vanilla wafers. The bismark is then topped with a brûlée sugar coating.
“The collaboration of two great brands showcasing Magnolia Bakery’s signature banana pudding felt like a perfect match,” says Labriola. “Since partnering with Magnolia Bakery, we were able to collaborate seamlessly in order to create a great donut featuring our signature bismark and their signature pudding for all of Chicago to enjoy.”
Stan’s Banana Pudding Bismark donut will be available at all 16 Chicagoland locations with a Doughboy specialty price of $4.25 per donut.
Everyone who orders the Banana Pudding Bismark at Stan’s will also be treated to 10% off in the Chicago location of Magnolia Bakery (located in Block 37 near Millennium Park) from June 29 through July 19. Customers will need to show their Stan’s receipt to get 10% off in-store (in-store only, only at the bakery’s Chicago location.)
