Chief O’Neill’s is kicking off its favorite season with food, libations, and events for its 26th St. Patrick’s Day Festival. To make space for all the events and entertainment, Chief O’Neill’s has put up its 2,000 square foot, heated tent. On Tuesday, March 4th, The Jeremiahs, a Dublin quartet will be performing live beginning at 8pm. Doors open at 7pm and tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite. 

Beginning March 7th and happening every Friday in March, Chief O'Neill's will be Shamrock Sweetheart night. Featuring a performance from Adain O’Toole, this weekly singles night will be a chance to mingle and find what you’re looking for. March 8th will feature a comedy show from Bad Irish Momz of Comedy, starting at 4pm. Tickets for this event are $25, get your tickets HERE. Wednesday, March 12 brings Irish-themed Pub Quiz to Chief O'Neill's, starting at 7pm. Reservations are recommended. Reserve your spot on Tock. Two days later on Friday, March 14th, weekend festivities kick off at 7pm with their No Cover Paddy's Day Entertainment featuring Trinity Irish Dancers, Emerald Society Pipe Band and Laurence Nugent, Cary Novotny, and Brenden Bulger. Doors to Chief O'Neill's open at 10 am. The following day, March 15th, doors open at 8am for guests to get a spot to enjoy Avondale's St. Patrick's Day Parade at 10am. Live entertainment starts at 9 a.m. and reservations are not required for the 1st floor and heated tent. Additionally, Mrs. O’Neill’s Parlor 2nd Floor Dining Room offers a seated buffet, this is a ticketed event. Serving Irish favorites including Fish & Chips, Corned Beef & Cabbage, Shepherd's Pie, and Dessert. 90-minute seatings, reservation only, includes entry to first floor entertainment. The cost is $45 per person – no additional cover - with seating times at 12:00pm, 1:45pm, 3:45pm, 5:45pm and 7:45pm. Guests 21+ ONLY Reservations are available on Tock. The first floor and tented beer garden will have a $10 cover starting at noon. After 2 p.m., this event will be 21+.

Chief O'Neill's is hosting an “all you care to eat” brunch buffet to close out the weekend on March 16th from 10am to 2pm, featuring no cover entertainment from O’Hara Irish Dancers, Tim O’Shea and The Broken Pledge Ceili Band. Make a reservation on Tock. Finally, on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, doors open at 10 a.m. and reservations are not required for the first floor and heated tent. However, a $10 cover starts at 3pm. Enjoy more live entertainment from numerous performers to end the celebrations.

  • Sanders BBQ Supply Co

Sanders BBQ Supply Co, is whipping up their take on a staple St. Patrick's Day meal - the corned beef reuben. Sander’s Miso Reuben Burger features a smoked corned beef patty topped with sauerkraut, grilled onions, and house-made Russian dressing. 

  • Nicky's of Beverly

Located directly on the route of the South Side Irish Parade on Sunday, March 16, NoB is featuring festive St. Patrick’s Day offerings, including the following: Corned Beef Sandwich, made with piled-high corned beef brisket served on marble rye with mustard and swiss, accompanied by a pickle spear ($10); Boozy Shamrock Gelato Shake, made with local mint cookie gelato by Zarlengo’s and housemade, vodka based white chocolate and mint liqueur ($10, offered March 10 to March 17). 

St. Patrick’s Day Cocktails include Irish Old Fashioned, made with lemongrass-infused Irish Whiskey, housemade clove bitters, and burnt orange simple syrup; and It Ain’t Easy Being Green, made with cucumber and mint-infused organic, gluten free vodka, housemade flower liquor, and fresh lemonade. The cocktails are $10 each, offered March 10 to March 17.

Downtown and The Loop

  • Royal Sonesta Hotel

Join The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown for the Chicago Green River Dyeing on March 15th from 8am to 2pm. Take the elevator to the Penthouse level, perched 39 stories high in the sky. Guests will see views of both the State Street and Michigan Avenue sides of the river, while they revel in party favors, DJs, and more. Indulge in a breakfast buffet featuring a selection of dishes complemented by an open bar offering spirits, wine, green beer, and an array of Irish-inspired craft cocktails. Tickets are $255 and can be purchased on Eventbrite. 

Additionally, guests can check into The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown for a limited availability room package that comes with two tickets to the St. Patrick’s River Dyeing viewing party in the Penthouse Lounge at a 25% discount. Stay the night prior to be the first in line (March 14) or make a night of it for an overnight stay after the event (March 15). Book on their website. 

Finally, on Saturday, March 15 from 6:30am to 8pm, indulge in the flowing green beer at Hoyt's Chicago during the ground-level river dyeing celebrations, where music, Irish-inspired dishes, cocktails, and more await. Guests will enjoy a full bar and bites at Hoyt’s Chicago including specialty green cocktails, cans of Guinness Beer, green beer, and Irish-inspired dishes such as corned beef sandwiches and Irish nachos. The festivities kick off with DJs starting at 8 am. The event is free to attend but tickets can be reserved via Eventbrite.

  • LondonHouse Chicago

LondonHouse Chicago will once again offer St. Patrick’s Day celebrations on Saturday, March 15, 2025, providing a front-row view of Chicago’s river dyeing from its LH Rooftop and LH on 21 indoor lounge. Guests will enjoy an open bar from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., featuring bottomless green beer, mimosas, and festive cocktails, along with a selection of breakfast bites. The event will also feature live entertainment with Chicago’s top DJs and complimentary St. Patrick’s Day swag. Prices start at $225 and are available on their website.

  • Sweetwater Grille and Tavern

Sweetwater Grille & Tavern will host its annual Kegs N’ Eggs on Saturday, March 15, just steps from the Michigan Avenue parade route. From 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. (21+), guests can fuel up for the day with a Irish breakfast buffet, entertainment, and Irish flair. Bagpipers will also make appearances throughout the day. Breakfast buffet (included with ticket) includes scrambled eggs with cheddar, crispy Applewood smoked bacon, savory sausage links, Irish corned beef hash, Bailey’s and vanilla ice cream battered French toast, and fresh fruit salad. $6 Drink specials include Green beer (Miller Lite), Guinness, Bloody Marys, and Mimosas. Tickets are just $25 and can be purchased on Eventbrite.

Sweetwater will also feature limited-time Irish-inspired menu items available from Wednesday, March 12, through Monday, March 17 including Pastrami Reuben – Housemade pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, bacon-braised sauerkraut, marble rye ($17.99); and Irish Mac N’ Cheese – Caramelized cabbage, beer-braised onions, bacon lardons, shredded corned beef, beer cheese sauce, smoked cheddar, garlic herb crumble, cavatappi ($21.99).

  • Chicago Boat Company

Starting at 11 AM on Saturday, March 15th, once the river is officially dyed green, you can book a Hot Tub Boat, a heated Duffy Boat, or a Cycle Boat cruise. Pricing varies and boats can be booked on their website. 

Hot Tub Boats & Heated Duffy Boats – Both are BYOB and come equipped with Bluetooth speakers, cooler space, and waterproof phone cases on the Hot Tub Boats. Plus, new this year, after booking a CBC Duffy cruise, customers will have the option to add on themed-hot chocolates and/or comfort food from JoJo’s Shakebar!

Cycle Boat Cruise (March 15th only!) – For one day only, CBC is taking its Cycle Boats out for a pre-season spin in celebration of the Chicago River dyeing. The BYOB Cycle Boat includes a Bluetooth speaker, cooler space, and a professional captain so everyone on board can soak in the St. Patrick’s Day festivities. Gather up to 16 passengers for a 90-minute, pedal-powered ride while the river glows its peak emerald green. 

  • Virgin Hotels Chicago

Virgin Hotels Chicago is offering guests unobstructed views of the river dyeing, live entertainment across multiple floors, and much more during St. Patrick’s Day weekend. 

Start the holiday with a signature Irish Coffee from the hotel’s ground floor coffee shop, Two Zero Three, or enjoy classic Irish fare and a live band at Miss Ricky’s, the hotel’s signature restaurant. From traditional Reuben sandwiches to beer-battered fish and chips, the culinary team has created a menu that honors the Emerald Isle with a modern twist. 

Guests and locals can also take in views of the Chicago River while enjoying live DJ entertainment, festive food & drink specials, and themed photo ops at Cerise, Virgin Hotels Chicago's rooftop lounge, on Saturday, March 15. With panoramic windows, Cerise offers a setting to soak in the festive atmosphere while sipping on signature St. Patrick's Day cocktails and enjoying live entertainment. City Cruise’s Seadog cruise will be up close and personal to the river dyeing on the morning of March 15. This St. Patrick's Day River Dyeing Cruise also includes Irish music and views of the city's skyline. Spaces are extremely limited and will sell out quickly. 

Those who would prefer to cruise the lake instead can do so by opting for the St. Patrick's Day Signature Lunch Cruise on Lake Michigan which offers a lunch buffet, DJ entertainment, and panoramic views of Chicago's skyline and Lake Michigan

For those looking to celebrate the day after, City Cruises' St. Patrick's Day Premier Plus Bottomless Mimosa Brunch Cruise on the Chicago River features a chef-prepared brunch buffet, bottomless mimosas, and views of the green-dyed river and landmarks.

  • Bar Pendry and Venteux

At Bar Pendry on Sunday, 3/16 from 11 am to 3 pm, guests can enjoy an assortment of savory and sweet Irish-inspired canapés, such as wagyu corned beef & cabbage roulade served with whole grain mustard; smoked salmon on soda bread with lemon creme fraîche; a Guinness cheddar and chive scone pair with clotted cream; or a lucky clover shortbread cookie adorned with gold flakes. Plus, on St. Patrick’s Day, 3/17, Executive Chef Mark Shoemaker will be crafting his elevated take on a classic (full-sized!) corned beef sandwich, available for just $20. Guests can also enjoy $5 pours of draft beer, or indulge in $30 whiskey flights, curated by Pendry Chicago mixologists.

In preparation for St. Patrick's Day, Venteux’s cafe will have a special celebration on 3/13 featuring a whiskey-focused cocktail-making class. Led by bartender Taylor Temple, this immersive experience invites guests to refine their mixology skills while crafting three variations of the classic Old Fashioned. 

From 3/15 to 3/17, St. Patrick’s Day partygoers can take advantage of Venteux’s festive offerings all weekend long! This year’s specialty brunch lineup features Irish-inspired fare crafted by Chef Marcel Heiduk and the Venteux culinary team, starting with the Corned Beef Sandwich, layered with whole grain mustard and pickled cucumber on rye, served with crispy fries. For those craving something on the filling side, the Venteux Burger boasts melted Gruyere, frisée & mâche greens, local tomatoes, and garlic aioli, while the cooked-to-order Steak Frites is a rich, classic pairing. Raise a glass with Venteux’s curated Irish Gold Old Fashioned, featuring Jameson Orange and an edible gold sheet garnish, or sip on the Lucky Spritz, a bright and bubbly mix of Jameson Orange, pineapple juice, and sparkling wine. The Dearborn will have a festive menu, giveaways, and live entertainment! From Thursday, March 13th through Monday, March 17th, enjoy a special selection of Irish-inspired dishes available throughout brunch, lunch, and dinner. Indulge in classics like Shepherd's Pie, Corned Beef & Cabbage, and more. Celebrate with Kindling’s exclusive Reuben special, created in partnership with Manny’s Deli! From March 11th through March 17th, guests can enjoy this St. Patrick’s Day treat, featuring Manny’s corned beef. The Wood Fired Reuben is complete with hand-carved Manny’s corned beef, raclette “swiss” cheese, gochujang spice “Russian” dressing, kimchi and sauerkraut on rye with a kosher pickle and fries, available until supplies last. Reservations can be made on OpenTable. 

  • Beatnik on the River

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with front-row views of the emerald-green river, specialty cocktails featuring Bushmills Irish Whiskey and Centenario Tequila, and a festive food menu.   • Mercat a la Planxa

Mercat a la Planxa at The Blackstone Hotel is hosting a special Spanish-inspired brunch with a festive nod to Irish traditions, celebrating the spirit of the Shamrock Shuffle. Available exclusively on March 23rd, guests can indulge in a curated brunch menu featuring bottomless Mimosas, Bellinis, Bloody Marys, or draft beer starting at just $30. Highlights from the menu include Deviled Eggs with Iberico Chorizo, Maple, and Espelette, as well as a hearty Short Rib Hash with potatoes, carrots, peppers, and onions. Spots are limited, so reservations are highly recommended.

  • Cody's Public House

Chicagoans can join Cody’s Public House in West Lakeview for three days of non-stop St. Paddy’s Day celebrations. From a parade day party package to a Sunday Funday liquid brunch, the complete event details are below. Cody’s is dog-friendly inside and out, and the beer garden features TVs, darts and bean bags.

Michael Jordan’s Steak House is marking St. Patrick’s Day with a limited-time menu featuring Irish-inspired dishes and drinks from March 14-17. Specials include: Reuben sandwich with corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and house dressing on rye; Reuben burger with the same toppings on a house patty; and Corned beef short ribs, served with baby vegetables, braised cabbage, and Guinness mustard sauce. All offerings are available after 5 p.m! The bar will offer themed drinks, including Irish coffee, green beer, and a Guinness pint as well. 

  • W XYZ Bar at Aloft Chicago Mag Mile

This St. Patrick’s Day, raise a glass at W XYZ Bar at Aloft Chicago Mag Mile with festive drink specials. Sip on a $6.50 Green Bud Light or toast with a Green Tea Shot ($8), featuring Tullamore D.E.W., Peach Schnapps, sour mix, and lemon-lime soda. For a twist, enjoy the Irish Mule ($12) made with Tullamore D.E.W., lime, simple syrup, and ginger beer. The Honey Gold Rush ($11) blends Tullamore D.E.W. Honey, lemon, and simple syrup. Old Town

Division Street transforms into Chicago’s largest St. Patrick’s Day street festival on Saturday, March 15 from 12pm to 10pm, and Sunday, March 16 from 12pm to 8pm. Located between State Street and Dearborn Street, Shamrock & Roll will feature live music, Irish dancers, bagpipers, family-friendly activities, beer and liquor tents and food vendors serving up bites. For families, Shamrock & Roll will offer dedicated activity stations and kid-friendly entertainment on Sunday, March 16. 

Shamrock & Roll will feature one main stage with live performances throughout the weekend. The festival is hosted by Division Street Merchants and produced by Lodge Management Group. A $10 suggested donation at entry will support local community initiatives and event production. VIP tables and fast pass general admission tickets are available for purchase on Tock for those looking to elevate their experience.

River North

  • Hard Rock Cafe Chicago

On Saturday, March 15, 2025, Hard Rock Café Chicago will host its final, 16th Annual "Get Shamrocked!" St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, featuring a full day of live music, drinks, and Irish-inspired fare, before closing at the end of March. Guests can enjoy performances from The Hat Guys and a special feature set by The Shannon Rovers, along with green beer, themed shots, and classic Irish fare. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with live music until 5 p.m.. The celebration includes both an all-ages experience inside Hard Rock Café and a heated 21+ outdoor tent.   • I\O Godfrey

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at I|O Godfrey, on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Guests can take in panoramic skyline views, fire pits, and water features while enjoying an all-inclusive party from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tickets start at $75 and include bottomless beer, mimosas, and Bloody Marys, along with a full breakfast buffet. The River North spot will offer the following for St. Patrick's Day eats: Corned Beef Sandwich (house cooked corned beef, hand sliced and served on bread of choice. Each sandwich comes with a small side of coleslaw and a pickle spear) - $15; Corned Beef Hash (house corned beef griddled with shredded potatoes, onions and peppers. Comes with toast or bagel) - $11.50; and Bulk Corned Beef  - $9 per quarter pound of meat. If you're looking for a bigger order, you can place a catering order.   • Three Dots & A Dash

In celebration of the holiday, Three Dots & A Dash is launching an Irish twist on a tropical cocktail. Introducing a holiday riff on the classic cocktail, the Jameson Mai Tai made with Jameson Irish Whiskey, lime juice, almond orgeat made daily in-house by the Three Dots team and dry curacao. The Jameson Mai Tai will be available at Three Dots & A Dash this St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

Parade-goers can swing by Hawksmoor to fuel up on Irish fare and cocktails from its sister location in Dublin. The menu includes Beef & Guinness Pie, Champ & Rarebit Baked Potatoes, and Reuben Nuggets. Wash it down with one of Hawksmoor’s limited-edition St. Patrick’s Day cocktails, created in collaboration with their friends across the world.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Bandit on Two, the second floor of Bandit, on Saturday, March 15, 2025. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., ticket holders can enjoy a private event featuring a standard open bar with mimosas and well cocktails, passed bar bites, and festive green décor and swag. Table packages are available for both 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. time slots, and guests purchasing a table do not need separate general admission tickets, as entry is included in the package. Located on the 13th floor, The Penthouse at Fioretta will host an exclusive St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Guests can take in panoramic views of the Chicago skyline from the 13th-floor rooftop venue, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and accordion-style doors that blend indoor and outdoor spaces. General admission tickets include entry to The Penthouse, an open bar with well cocktails, select beer, and wine, plus light passed appetizers and desserts.   • Cruz Blanca

Cruz Blanca, will host its first-ever O’Bueno Bash! Serving up classic taqueria fare with an Irish twist, the party starts at 9 am on Saturday, March 15th. It will offer Corned Beef and Cabbage Tacos, Shamrock Margaritas, a special Pot of Gold Edition of the brewery’s signature cerveza, Mexico Calling, and more. 

  • The Publican

This St. Patrick’s Day weekend, grab a corned beef sandwich from Publican Quality Meats. Head-Chef Butcher Rob Levitt and his kitchen team are brining savory corned beef in-house to be hand-sliced and piled high on fresh sliced rye from Publican Quality Bread, topped with a generous dollop of house-made mustard. Priced at $18/per sandwich, there will only be 50 corned beef sandwiches made per day from 3/15 - 3/17, so pre-orders are encouraged on their website. The corned beef sandwich will also be available during brunch and lunch service for only $18. Plus, keep an eye out for exclusive specials like shepherd's pie and colcannon, crafted by Chef Joe Spain and the Publican team. 

  • Coffee Bar at The Emily Hotel

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all month long at The Emily Hotel’s coffee bar in the West Loop with the March: Luck O’ the Latte. This festive Irish cream and caramel latte is topped with a sprinkle of edible green glitter.

  • Goose Island Beer Company

Goose Island Beer Company announced the return of its seasonal Shamrock Stout, now available in bottles for the first time ever. The Shamrock Stout is making its debut in a 4pk format. Goose Island is hosting its St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Saturday, March 15 at 11 AM at the Salt Shed Pub. Attendees can enjoy Shamrock Stout on draft or take advantage of a special offering: two 10 oz Irish Ales (choose between Dry Irish Stout or an Irish Red) for $10, plus a limited stein giveaway.
