Tullamore D.E.W. Pop-Up at Union Station (Thursday, March 12 - Friday, March 13)

Tullamore D.E.W. is creating a special & FREE St. Patrick’s Day pop-up that is open to the public at Union Station (225 S Canal St, Chicago, IL).

Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey is hosting O’Everyone, its national St. Patrick’s Day celebration that welcomes any and all to become Irish for the annual festive holiday. An extension of Tullamore D.E.W.’s “Beauty of Blend” campaign, O’Everyone champions blend, the breaking down of barriers, of embracing the beauty of us, while coming together to celebrate this one day of the year where all can be Irish, with whiskey in hand.

Launched last year, O’Everyone saw people around the U.S. create custom t-shirts with their “O’Last Name” on full display (O’Rivera, O’Roth, O’Chao, for example). At the heart of O’Everyone this St. Patrick’s Day will be the addition of a series of pop-up Irish Pubs that can take on the name of all who enter, capturing the spirit of coming together at a place where everybody knows your name.

“Tullamore D.E.W. is built on blend - it runs through every bottle as the original triple blended Irish whiskey since 1829,” said Conor Neville, Brand Manager of Tullamore D.E.W. “O’Everyone is a celebration of the brand’s belief in the spirit of blend and truly opens the Irish holiday of St. Patrick’s Day to all. We’re excited to continue and build on this platform of community and inclusivity in 2020 with our celebratory O’Everyone pop-up pubs, because it’s more fun when we can all be Irish together,” Neville concluded.

“Tullamore D.E.W. is on a mission to encourage the world to blend,” continued Neville. “Our whiskey was made for moments like this, when friends come together for special occasions, tell stories, raise a toast, and just share in good company.”

Upon arrival, guests will enter their last name or nickname into an iPad, and the signage for the bar will change to reflect their O’Last Name for a keepsake photo, in traditional Irish font and style. Once inside, a photo wall will display the attendee images. Guests will be offered Tullamore D.E.W. samples and have their own custom O’Everyone t-shirts printed.

Anyone who cannot visit the pubs can purchase their custom O’Everyone t-shirts at www.OEveryone.com.

Hours for the pop-up are Thursday, 1pm - 8pm and Friday, 12pm - 8pm.

Chicagoland Krispy Kreme (Friday, March 13 - Tuesday, March 17)

Leprechauns are sneaking into Krispy Kreme shops across the country and aren’t just turning O’riginal Glazed Doughnuts green this year – but all the doughnuts.

For the first time ever, people who visit Chicagoland shops from Friday, March 13 through St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17 will find doughnut display cases filled with greenified versions of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, including Chocolate Iced with green Kreme, Cake Batter with green icing, Strawberry Iced with St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles, OREO Cookies & Kreme with green icing drizzle and Chocolate Iced Custard filled with shamrock sprinkles.

Krispy Kreme has devised a way to catch these tricksters with an all-new Leprechaun Trap Doughnut. Decorated as a pot of gold and filled with Irish Kreme-flavored filling, the doughnut will be available in limited quantities each day – only a few lucky guests in every shop will have a chance to catch one.

“Chicagoans love St. Patrick’s Day, maybe even more than leprechauns do, especially paired with green Krispy Kreme Doughnuts all weekend long,” said Carlos Larcada, President of Chicagoland Restaurants, LLC. “If you’re lucky, you can catch one celebrating at Chicagoland shops this year."

Chicagoland shops are located in Homewood at 17815 South Halsted Street, Evergreen Park at 9150 South Western Avenue, Hillside at 110 South Mannheim Road and Chicago in Block 37 at 108 North State Street.
