Le Sud Mediterranean Kitchen, located in Roscoe Village, will offer a "Taste of Spring" prix fixe menu from Friday, April 29 to Thursday, May 12. Available Tuesday through Saturday evenings, the prix fixe features the choice of any small plate, large plate and dessert from Chef Michael Woodhall's new spring menu, paired with a glass of wine, for $42 per person. Three dollars from the price of each prix fixe will benefit local food pantries, Lakeview Pantry and Common Pantry.
Chef Woodhall's spring menu features flavorful Mediterranean fare made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. New dishes include sweet pea and fava bean salad; charred Spanish octopus with chorizo and rapini; pan seared Verlasso salmon with pine nut agrodolce; wood-grilled NY strip with charred spring onion compota; roasted half chicken with asparagus and confit garlic; pan seared scallops with Serrano ham consomme, saffron and sweet peas; and bucatini pasta with artichoke hearts, tomato, peas, lemon, herbs and pecorino.
Le Sud has also launched several new handcrafted cocktails for the spring season, including Val-de-Loire Dew (Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey, lemon, golden syrup, ginger beer); La Foret (Cantarelle Gin de Provence, lemon, juniper simple syrup, lavender, rosemary, sparkling water); Smoke Over the Water (Mezcal, lemon, watermelon, simple syrup, aperol); The Bloom (vodka, passion fruit, cranberry, lemon, simple syrup, prosecco) and Peche Printemps (Pazo de Bruxas Albarino, creme de peche, mint).
Le Sud is open Tuesday through Saturday from 4:30 p.m.-10 p.m.
