There’s nothing like a tasty bowl of homemade soup to start the new year off and beat the cold. Prairie Grass Cafe is offering a variety throughout the month.
With Prairie Grass Cafe’s “Soups To Go” menu this January, families will have homemade soup at the ready when they are busy, under the weather, or too tired to cook. Soups freeze well, so you can stock up; pints for $10 and quarts for $20 are on the takeout menu.
A variety of soups including Spinach, Squash, Parsnip, Lentil, and others will be offered on a rotating basis through January on the Prairie Grass To Go menu as well as for $8 a bowl for dining-in customers.
“There’s so much good about soups,” says Prairie Grass Cafe Chef Sarah Stegner. “While we’re making our way through another cold winter, a steaming hot bowl of soup can keep you and your family warm and toasty. Soup not only takes the bite out of a frosty night, but they can also provide you with vegetables and nutrients that are good for your health.
“I’m passionate about eating local as much as possible and soups provide the perfect recipe to enjoy winter crops like butternut squash, carrots, parsnips and more,” says Stegner.
