Pendry Chicago is being taken over for the night by bartender and hospitality industry veteran Nick Kokonas.
On Friday, February 24th, Nick and the Chateau Carbide bar team will present a menu of tonic-focused cocktails from his debut book, Something & Tonic (2022 IACP Best Self-Published Book). An exploration of tonic’s history & influence over modern civilization, the book features a collection of 60 original recipes highlighting the different applications of tonic in mixology, three of which will be spotlighted at the one-night-only pop-up. In addition to the selections from Nick’s book, from 5-10pm, the space will also offer an abbreviated menu of Chateau Carbide’s seasonal drink offerings and winter-inspired light bites.
Reservations are not required, but can be booked via OpenTable.
