Smith & Wollensky reopened its Chicago restaurant on Saturday, April 13. The restaurant resumed service following a recent small kitchen fire in the lower-level. The Smith & Wollensky team has been working to restore its operations and has initially reopened with limited capacity.

“We extend our sincerest gratitude to the Chicago Fire Department, local officials, recovery partners, and our dedicated team for their unwavering support during this time,” said Managing Partner, Regina Arendt. "Our hardworking team and partners have been instrumental in ensuring a prompt recovery, and we are thrilled to welcome back our cherished guests."

Smith & Wollensky Chicago reopens in time for its 26th Anniversary. The restaurant opened in 1998 along the Riverwalk in River North neighborhood at the Marina Towers.
