Inspired by the rise of K-dramas in the US, Sir Chicken is launching "K-drama Kravings," a limited series of monthly-changing K-drama themed fried chicken sandwiches. Korean dramas, known as K-dramas, are television series in the Korean language, made in South Korea.

Starting June 1, the first will be the CLOY – named after the Netflix series “Crash Landing on You” – featuring a classic Korean fried chicken thigh, tossed in Sir Chicken’s traditional sweet and spicy sauce, and topped with mayo, spicy cabbage & kimchi slaw, and seasoned scallions, all between a Martin’s potato bun with a side of radish pickles ($10) – see Episode 11 for the inspiration.

Future sandwiches will be themed after such blockbuster K-dramas as “Goblin” and the 2014 classic “My Love from the Star.” All the chosen K-dramas contain crave-inducing scenes highlighting various styles of fried chicken, the most prevalent and popular style of fast-food in South Korea.

TIMING & PRICING:

K-Drama Kravings’ CLOY celebrating the Netflix K-drama “Crash Landing on You” launches Tuesday, June 1 and will be available for one month, followed by sandwiches themed after other popular K-dramas.
