South Loop restaurant Mercat a la Planxa celebrates all things sherry during Sherry Month, serving a special sherry-paired menu from August 6th - 31st. Barcelona native Chef Diego creates a special three-course menu that pairs his Catalan cuisine with an array of Spanish sherries. The first course features a board with Mercat’s signature tapas—Pan Am Tomaquet (Spanish tomato bread), Bunelos de Bacalao (Catalan beignets), and Bacon wrapped Dates—paired with Tio Pepe Fino sherry. The second course features an entrée of Paella de Carne or Paella de Verduras paired with Aurora Oloroso sherry. The final course is a dessert course with Crema Catalana and a pour of Gonzalez Byass Nectar.

The three-course sherry dinner is offered as a supplemental menu to the regular dinner menu and costs $150 for a dinner for two.
