Seoul Taco, the Korean-Mexican street food concept from chef David Choi, is opening a new location in the Lakeview area on Belmont and Kenmore avenues, expanding their presence in the Windy City to four locations. The location is set to open in July 2024.
Set to open in July 2024, the new location will be cooking up Korean-Mexican fare for nearby residents including sesame and citrus tacos, bulgogi bowls and burritos, and kimchi fried rice. Also on the menu are quesadillas with Seoul sauce, kimchi and queso blanco nachos, and a selection of domestic, Korean and Mexican beers in addition to a variety of soju.
“Chicago has been a great market to call home for Seoul Taco, and we're excited to open our fourth location in the Windy City," said David Choi, chef and owner of Seoul Taco. "We love the soul of this town and can't wait to give Lakeview a taste of our culinary creations."
To break in the new space, Seoul Taco partnered with deconstructive pop artist Matt Gondek to adorn an exterior wall of the concept with a remix of Pablo Picasso's Guernica painting, inspired by the characters of Family Guy. Streetwear, pop art and music are closely tied to the spirit of the brand.
Seoul Taco's Lakeview location will open in the former Big & Little's space at 1034 W. Belmont Avenue.
