Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park entertainment district will expand its dining offerings with the opening of Mas Mex Restaurant Group’s Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar Wednesday, October 30. Located at 5433 Park Place, the new restaurant will bring the authentic flavors of Mexico to Rosemont with a selection of tacos, tequila and more.

Fat Rosie’s Rosemont location will be open for lunch and dinner daily as well as offer a Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. The restaurant’s menu will take guests on a journey across the flavors of Mexico, from Sinaloa to Yucatán. Dishes include their “Esquites” Mexican street corn and Tampiqueña, in addition to a variety of tacos. Paired with its food menu, Fat Rosie’s will offer an expansive beverage menu with more than 50 tequilas and more than 12 flavors of made-from-scratch margaritas. Guests can also enjoy Fat Rosie’s own Mexican lager infused with lime, crafted locally by  Chicago’s Casa Humilde Cerveceria.

"Fat Rosie’s vibrant atmosphere, exceptional Mexican cuisine and commitment to delivering a memorable dining experience make it the perfect addition to Parkway Bank Park entertainment district and Rosemont’s growing restaurant scene,” said Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens. “We are excited for residents and visitors alike to enjoy all they have to offer.”

“The Mas Mex team has been eager for Fat Rosie’s to join the dynamic restaurant and entertainment community in Rosemont. We couldn’t have asked for a more ideal location: the proximity to the convention center, airport and hotels makes this the perfect location for us,” said Mas Mex CEO John Iannucci. “We’re excited to support the Village of Rosemont and look forward to continuing to grow the Fat Rosie’s brand
throughout Illinois.”

In addition to its food and drink offerings, Fat Rosie’s will offer live entertainment every weekend. Live DJs will spin Friday and Saturday nights from 9 p.m. – 12 a.m. and authentic Mariachi performances will take place Saturday nights from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Traditional Mexican artistry will be showcased through Fat Rosie’s atmosphere. The restaurant will feature décor reflecting the cultural heritage of Mexico. Handcrafted elements including tilework and authentic textiles will be complimented by murals and artwork celebrating Mexico’s diverse traditions. The restaurant will also feature two bar areas and an upstairs private events space accommodating up to 120 guests.
