The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group’s Roots Pizza has announced that it is approaching the landmark sale of its millionth mozzarella stick. Likely to take place the weekend of April 9, the winning order will come with a grand prize of free mozzarella sticks for a year.
Roots Pizza’s mozzarella stick platter has become one of the modern pizzeria’s most popular menu offerings, whether guests are adding to their pizza dinner or looking for a quick snack while at the bar. In-house orders at any of the three Roots Pizza locations count towards the grand total and are eligible for the winning prize.
“Who will win the millionth mozz stick? That’s a question only our guests can answer,” said Chris Teixeira, The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group’s Culinary Director. “We’ve always known our mozzarella sticks are delicious, but the fact that one million mozz sticks have been enjoyed by Chicagoans is a huge testament to the talent and dedication of our Roots team. And as the city once again begins to re-open, I’m incredibly excited to see people once again come together, dine and celebrate this awesome milestone in-person.”
Roots Handmade Pizza is located at 1924 W Chicago Ave in West Town, 2200 W Lawrence Ave in Lincoln Square, 1610 N Wells St on the ground floor of Piper’s Alley and 744 S Dearborn St in South Loop’s Printer’s Row.
