Roots Handmade Pizza is launching a new menu on April 10. The refreshed offerings include the introduction of tavern-style pizza, an updated beer selection featuring, and new appetizers, including Detroit-style pizza bites.
Roots is introducing six new tavern-style pizzas featuring crisp, thin crust and a new tavern-style sauce. Guests can choose options like the Burrata & Truffle, topped with roasted mushrooms, truffles, mozzarella, burrata, and arugula, or the Portuguese Chorizo & Peppers, made with chorizo, pickled Hungarian Goathorn peppers, mozzarella, and oregano. Classic options, including Cheese, Sausage, and Pepperoni, will also be available.
The thinner crust leaves more room for new shareables and sides, like the Roasted Brussels Sprouts with roasted garlic, balsamic, Calabrian chili, and cashew-sesame crunch, or the Burrata with marinated peppers, arugula, fried garlic, pesto, and malt crackers. Salad eaters can choose the Spicy Cashew Salad with baby kale, pickled carrots, crispy rice, and spicy cashew vinaigrette, or the Shaved Brussels Salad with candied pecans, orange segments, and crumbled goat cheese.
Roots is expanding its beer program beyond its original focus on Midwestern craft brews. The updated lineup now includes options such as Miller, Bud Light, Modelo Especial, and Pabst Blue Ribbon. The cocktail menu continues to evolve seasonally, with spring and summer options like the Cold Brew Martini made with Mile High Vodka and Maplewood Coffee Liqueur, the tropical Island Fizz with Chinola passionfruit liqueur and mango, and the Blackberries & Bourbon featuring Benchmark bourbon and ginger beer.
