The end of summer festival returns to Chicago’s northside with the 21st Annual Ravenswood Artwalk on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17. The Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) partners with the Ravenswood Industrial Corridor for a weekend that showcases the hub of artisans, manufacturers, and brewers.
Each year, the Ravenswood ArtWalk, offers a weekend of art, music, food, and community while allowing a peek inside the spaces that help define Ravenswood. Stretching from Lawrence to Irving Park along Ravenswood Avenue, “RAW” features open studios and galleries, pop-up performances and activations, an Outdoor Artist Market, Children’s Corner, and a pop-up Beer Garden.
“Our 20th Anniversary was the most successful ArtWalk we had to date in 2022 and we were rained out on day two!” says Gene Wagendorf III, associate director of the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce (GRCC). “ArtWalk is such a unique opportunity for people to connect with small, local businesses from art galleries to breweries. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for hopefully a beautiful final summer weekend in Chicago.”
Attendees will have the chance to connect with artisans of all kinds including painters, jewelers, brewers, teachers, architects, dancers, potters, photographers, musicians, and more. At the event’s center, the Outdoor Artist Market will feature dozens of makers and artisans, live music from local talent, beer from Malt Row, a children’s corner with family-friendly activities as well as arts and crafts spread throughout the festival, and food trucks.
The Ravenswood ArtWalk is Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17 from 11AM - 6PM. A $5-10 donation is suggested. The event entrance is at Ravenswood & Berteau and stretches from Lawrence to Irving Park.
