Ramen reigns supreme at the Third Annual Ramenfest! On Sunday, February 19, Owner and Executive Chef Bill Kim will host the ramen battle at urbanbelly West Loop, pitting twenty chefs from across Chicago against one another to prepare their best ramen dish and be named champion. Chefs can keep it classic with creations emulating the urbanbelly Ramen or let their imaginations run wild!
Ramenfest is one of the city’s biggest ramen-focused events, bringing together chefs from diverse culinary backgrounds to create unique interpretations of ramen. Participating chefs are vying for both the judge’s choice and people’s choice awards, along with bragging rights for the year. General admission tickets to Ramenfest include a sampling of each ramen and two drink tickets for $75. A portion of all proceeds from the event will benefit Inspiration Kitchens, a non-profit organization that helps people who are affected by homelessness and poverty to improve their lives and increase self-sufficiency through the provision of social services, employment training and placement, and housing.
Tickets will be sold online in three rounds throughout January and will be available for purchase starting at 10am until sold out for the day. Ticket sale dates include: January 11, January 18 and January 25. VIP Admission tickets are also available for purchase online for $150 and include entry into Ramenfest one hour early, complete with access to all ramen stations, three drink tickets and a swag bag.
