The Ramen-san team and Executive Chef Kevin Marquardt, are inviting some of their favorite chefs and culinary teams to Ramen-san for an ongoing collaboration dinner series. Each visiting chef will create a ramen dish inspired by their cooking style that will be available at all Ramen-san locations (River North, Streeterville, Fulton Market and Lincoln Park upon opening) for a limited time for dine-in, carryout and delivery. The partnership will culminate with a one-night-only event, where the visiting chef will serve an exclusive multi-course dinner to guests, with tickets available for purchase through Tock.
The series will kick-off on Tuesday, January 31 with a dinner at Ramen-san Whisky Bar in Fulton Market with Chef Palita Sriratana of Pink Salt, a pop-up concept specializing in Northern Thai cuisine. Seatings will be available from 6:00 - 8:30 PM. Tickets are available for $65 per person (plus tax + gratuity). Additional upcoming collaborations include Chef Henry Cai of Three Little Pigs and Chef Jonathan Zaragoza of Birrieria Zaragoza. The dinners will be hosted at various Ramen-san locations including the upcoming Lincoln Park restaurant.
Chef Palita’s dinner features a multi-course, family-style menu including Miang Kham (pineapple, grilled galangal paste, roasted coconut shards) to start, a second-course including Som Tom (green papaya salad), Nam Khao Tod (crispy rice, fermented pork sausage, nam prik pao dressing, peanuts) and Sai Ua Tsukune (Northern Thai chicken sausage), followed by the main course Khao Soi Nua—using Ramen-san’s Tokyo wavy noodles, and for dessert Pate a Choux filled Thai tea mousse.
From Thursday, January 19 - Tuesday, January 31, all Ramen-san locations will serve Chef Palita’s Khao Soi Nua ramen composed of braised beef in a light red curry and tamarind broth with pickled mustard greens.
