Prairie Grass Cafe’s Father’s Day Dinner Package and Meal Kits Outdoor Dining or Takeout

Prairie Grass Cafe’s (601 Skokie Blvd., Northbrook) is offering special Father’s Day dinner package and meal kits for curbside carryout. Chefs Sarah Stegner and George Bumbaris are offering two styles of meals. The special Father’s Day Dinner Package for One is prepared and ready to serve, no cooking required. Kids are included, too: Guests can order the special Father’s Day Kids Dinner for One.

Also, since the chefs know that Father’s Day is often celebrated over the grill at home, they have put together a variety of “grill-centric” meal kits to finish at home, prepared from locally produced seasonal ingredients..

Father’s Day dinners and meal kits must be ordered by 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 18. Guests can pick up ready to serve dinner packages on Sunday, June 21 and cook-at-home meal kits on Saturday, June 20 or Sunday, June 21. To order, call the restaurant at 847-205-4433.

Each Father’s Day cook-at-home meal kit includes everything needed to prepare a meal for two people.

Guests can choose from two fish meal kits, three steak meal kits and two homemade sausage kits. In addition, guests can order an add-on salad, dessert and special bottles of wine curated by wine director, Rohit Nambiar. There are three cocktails to go, also. Cooking instructions come with each meal kit.

A Farmers Salad for Two ($14) can be added to any meal kit. It features Greens, Radishes, Pecans, Tomatoes, and Cider Vinaigrette. Additional dessert choices include Prairie Grass Cafe’s signature Double Chocolate Cake Slice ($8) or Chocolate Pudding ($6).

For many, a chilled cocktail is a great way to start the Father’s Day festivities. To make serving these libations easy, Prairie Grass Cafe is offering Margarita mix with Triple Sec ($28; serves four, tequila sold separately); Rhubarb Sangria ($32/quart, serves four) or Nordic Nectar (pineapple infused vodka, $24/6 oz., serves two).
