Porkchop, a southern food and BBQ restaurant in Chicago, is now open at 4551 N Pulaski in Albany Park. To celebrate their opening while adhering to the city’s COVID-19 mandates, the restaurant is offering 20% off on carry-out orders between now and December 31, 2020. Delivery is also available through DoorDash, GrubHub and Uber Eats. Once the COVID restrictions are lifted, the restaurant will expand its hours and menu to include breakfast and late-night service.

Since opening in 2011, Porkchop has been serving Southern comfort food and BBQ along with some many whiskeys. The menu features hardwood smoked pork, beef, chicken and seafood, Southern classics like hush puppies, catfish nuggets, and fried chicken, and prepared steaks, chops and burgers. All Porkchop locations offer 20% to military personnel and first responders, and this new location is no exception.

The 2,500-sqare-foot-space features large bar areas,  dine-in seating, and will feature outdoor seating in warmer weather.

Proprietor Jovanis Bourgoub, a native of Paris, describes Porkchop as a mashup of the French joie de vivre (the joy of living in the moment) and the quirkiness of rural counterculture. His goal is simple – be the instigator of great times in a relaxed, unapologetically unpretentious environment.
