WHAT:             …is welcoming the public to Pony Up for the Kids, a day at the races in the Beverly D. Suite of Arlington Racecourse on Thursday, July 12, 2018. The annual event benefits the IHLA Educational Foundation Scholarship Program, providing scholarships for students pursuing hospitality management degrees.

Guests will mingle in the private room and covered walkout terrace with bird's eye views of the track, indulge in food and cocktails, and enjoy the benefit of a horseracing professional on hand to offer winning selections and betting strategies.

Since 1992 IHLAEF has been a primary source of scholarship assistance for deserving Illinois college students pursuing hospitality management degrees throughout the country, awarding over $450,000 since its inception. Each year, the Educational Foundation Scholarship Committee reviews all applicants and determines the amount of scholarships to be awarded. Scholarships are available in amounts ranging from $2,000 up to $5,000 per academic year.
