Pippin’s Tavern will celebrate its 50th anniversary this August. The anniversary will be marked with a series of special events and promotions throughout the entire month of August, beginning with a party on Pippin’s new patio. To celebrate its half-century history in the city of Chicago, Pippin’s Tavern will kick off the celebrations on Thursday, August 1 at 5 p.m. with a Bagpiper performance as well as reward the first 50 customers with a special anniversary shirt.

Party Like it’s 1974 — A 70s Dueling Pianos Party on Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

In addition to several other events, specials, and partner promotions slated throughout the month, Pippin’s Tavern will host a special anniversary happy hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Monday through Friday in August featuring $1.50 oysters, $6 charcuterie cones, $6 draft beer, $6 house wine, and $15 white wine carafes.
Pippin’s Tavern will also host a variety of limited edition merch giveaways for the first 50 guests during select weekend Pianos at Pippin’s dueling piano shows on Fridays and Saturdays in August from 9pm to 1am in the new lower level lounge. The weekend performances will consist of two grand pianos and entertainers from sister bar The Redhead Piano Bar behind the keys performing audience-requested songs while delivering a live music experience. Pianos at Pippin’s features several formats including dueling pianos, live band karaoke, drummer and guitarist performances, and will feature special themed nights in honor of Pippin’s 50th year in Chicago.
