High Noon Saloon hosts Pipeworks Brewing Company for a beer night featuring a lineup of draft, bottled and canned beers from the acclaimed Chicago craft brewery. Featured beers include: Schlussel Berserker, a limited-release Barleywine-style ale made in collaboration with Local Option Bierwerker; Emerald Grouper, a new imperial IPA brewed with honey, Citra and Mosaic hops; Marilime Law, a double IPA brewed with lime zest and juice; The Roister, an ale brewed with roasted strawberries, grilled rhubarb and lemon balm; Dark Matter Machine, a coffee cream ale brewed with Chicago’s Dark Matter Coffee; Sam vs. Unicorn, an imperial red ale brewed exclusively with American-grown hops; War Bird, a Belgian-inspired ale brewed with Hellertau Blanc and Amarillo hops; Lizard King, an American Pale Ale brewed with Mosaic and Amarillo hops; and Ninja vs. Unicorn, an unfiltered Double IPA brewed with over five pounds of hops per barrel.
Chef Antonio Gonzalez features two specials made with Pipeworks beers for the event: a Ninja vs. Taco, grilled steak (marinated with adobo and Ninja vs. Unicorn) topped with mint cucumber pico de gallo and chile de arbol sauce; and a Taco vs. Unicorn, oven-roasted pork (marinated with Sam vs. Unicorn and achiote) finished with pickled red onions and serrano lime sauce.
The event begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 23. There is no cover charge to attend and food and drink are on consumption (beers range from $8-$16 each and the food specials are $4 each). The full Tex-Mex menu will also be on offer (prices vary). High Noon Saloon is open from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. on June 23 and the kitchen is open until 11 p.m.
