This October, donate while partaking in drinks in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From the South Loop to Andersonville, four area eateries will offer a special "pink drink" in October to benefit The Lynn Sage Foundation's "Chicago's In Good Taste" campaign. One dollar from each cocktail sold during the month of October will benefit the charity. The special drinks are detailed below.
Cantina Laredo in River North will offer a Pink Guava Mojitoduring the month of October, made withCruzan Aged Light Rum, The Perfect Purée Pink Guava, fresh mint, lime and club soda ($10.50).
Bar Roma in Andersonville will feature their signature Bar Roma Spritz made with Blood Orange Amara, Aperol and Prosecco ($11).
October's "cocktail of the month" at the Chicago Firehouse in the South Loop is a Hibiscus Daiquiri, featuring rum, house made hibiscus simple syrup and lime ($12). The specialty drink is available for $6 during the restaurant's daily happy hour from 4-6 p.m. III Forks Prime Steakhouse in Lakeshore East will offer a sparkling rosé special during the month of October. Sommelier Anton Licko has selected Gratien & Meyer Cremant de Loire Brut Rosé ($12 per flute). All wines by the glass are half-price during happy hour, Monday-Friday from 4-7 p.m.
