On Sunday, March 18th, PDQ – short for "People Dedicated to Quality” – will open its newest location in Schaumburg, Illinois, the second location to be added to the Illinois market. The first location to come to Illinois was PDQ Wheaton, which opened September 24, 2017. With its quality approach, PDQ offers chef-driven recipes and mindful ingredients typically found in a fine casual restaurant with the value, speed and convenience of the fast food and fast casual segment. Always using fresh, never frozen chicken and a variety of sauces and dressings handmade in each store, Schaumburg will open with its new chef-inspired bowls, seasonal premium sandwiches and unique sides on the menu, in addition to the PDQ classics like hand-breaded and grilled chicken tenders, delicious fresh tossed salads, sandwiches and hand-spun milkshakes. New items include the Pimento Crunch and Grilled Hawaiian chicken sandwiches, new bowls like the Thai Peanut and Queso Crunch, and the Yia Yia’s Greek Salad.
PDQ is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, with its menu items made to order in-house every day. PDQ Schaumburg includes an open kitchen where guests can enjoy favorites for dine-in or take-out, as well as a drive-thru and availability to cater for events. Co-founded in 2011 by Bob Basham and Nick Reader, and priding itself on providing a fun and friendly atmosphere for guests to enjoy quality food at an affordable price, PDQ aims to create deep roots in its local communities while donating to local charities, schools, and organizations in need every year.
