Parker Hospitality has announced Costera, which will draw upon the melting pot of flavors and energy of Tulum, located in the center of Fulton Market District’s at 846 W. Fulton Market. Costera’s menu will showcase flavors and bright, fresh ingredients with a selection of raw bar items, salads, tostadas, tacos, pastas, handhelds and slow-cooked meats and fish. The cocktail program will offer twists on traditional classics, served alongside meals or a la carte in the 30 seat bar or 32 seat cocktail lounge. They will offer a total of 334 seats, including indoor dining, a four season patio, and an outdoor patio in warmer weather.
“Our expansion of The Hampton Social across the nation has laid the groundwork for us to build another approachable, social brand,” says Parker Hospitality founder/CEO, Brad Parker. “From Nisos, our modern Mediterranean restaurant, to The Hampton Social, Parker Hospitality specializes in transporting our guests to beautiful destinations - no passport required! Costera will bring a piece of Tulum’s relaxed, yet energetic, bohemian ambiance to Chicago.”
Brad Parker will lead the interior design of Costera, creating a space that brings Tulum to Chicago. Costera will use organic materials, like rattan, woven seagrass, and a variety of natural textiles. Lime washed walls and custom rope artwork from Querétaro, México will anchor the interior and a four season patio will bring sunlight into the space. Warmer Chicago months will also feature an outdoor patio.
“We are thrilled to partner with Parker Hospitality in finding an amazing space for Costera,” said David Goldberg, Founder of Goldstreet Partners. “Fulton Market District is the perfect spot for Costera’s lively take on everything from delicious dates to nights on the town with friends to quick lunches with co-workers.”
Costera marks the fourth concept and 12th restaurant in the Parker Hospitality portfolio, which includes Nisos, The Hampton Social, and The Bassment, a speakeasy-style live music lounge.
