OKAY Cannabis, a craft cannabis dispensary in the northern suburbs of Chicago, announces the unveiling of a cannabis consumption lounge. Now open, the new lounge complements the dispensary's existing features, which include a bakery, cafe, cocktail bar, and a selection of cannabis products.
Situated at the corner of Lake Cook Road and Milwaukee Avenue, OKAY Cannabis presents a social consumption lounge at its Wheeling, Illinois location.
Beyond just a cannabis lounge, this space offers a selection of light bites and baked goods, accompanied by an array of beverages.
Scott Weiner, the co-founder of The Fifty/50 Group, operators of OKAY Cannabis, states, "By combining a top-of-the-line cannabis dispensary with a bakery and cocktail bar, we are creating a space where people can come together, meet like-minded individuals, and enjoy their interests and preferences. We take pride in pioneering this new business model and actively engaging with the community."
"For many customers, finding a safe space to consume cannabis can be challenging, especially for renters who may face consequences for using cannabis at home. We understand this concern and have made it a priority to create a supportive, relaxing, and educational environment for anyone trying cannabis for the first time," Weiner said.
To ensure compliance and maintain a safe environment, the lounge will enforce mandatory reservations and require the consumption of cannabis purchased from the dispensary on the same day. Each reservation will be limited to 90 minutes, with an additional 30-minute cool-down period before departure.
OKAY Cannabis will be hosting a launch party on August 2 and 3 at their Wheeling location to celebrate. The celebration is hosted in tandem with 4Front Ventures and West Town Bakery. The evenings’ festivities include the release of 4Front's new Island Flower and Pre-rolls, cannabis-inspired giveaways, a Tropical Shirt contest, live Island tunes, and Caribbean-inspired food and beverages. This event is open to the public and free.
