Offshore, recognized by The Guinness Book of World Records as the World’s Largest Rooftop Bar, sitting on the third floor of Navy Pier at 1000 East Grand, is offering new programming that has something for everyone. From drink specials and outdoor games to DJs and live music, the deck has becomes a convenient destination with dining and music options for all. Offshore, the sprawling 52,300 sq. ft. destination that features an enclosed all-season bar surrounded by views of Chicago’s skyline and Lake Michigan, with an 100-foot bar, seven fire pits, two pool tables and an outdoor space with greenery to soak up the sun.
On Mondays, Chicagoland residents will enjoy specials on “Locals Night.” All Chicagoland residents who mention they live “Just Offshore”, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. will enjoy $3 Miller Lite, $5 house red or white wines, and $5 Chicago Hot Dogs, all while playing a variety of outdoor lawn games including Cornhole and larger than life Jenga.
Tuesday nights feature a Cornhole Tournament, along with $3 Miller Lite and $5 Burgers from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays feature a live DJ, $2 off all frozen drinks, $5 Chicago Hot Dogs, and $5 Burgers from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays feature DJs and live music from Noon to 11 p.m. Sunday specials include $3 Founders, $5 Rosés, and $5 Bratwursts from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“We are overwhelmed by the reaction of our guests to the venue to date,” said Kathleen Jenkins, Director of Sales and Marketing. “We have become one of the most Instagrammed venues in the city, and our patrons are coming back again and again. We thought we would provide programming and specials that only elevated the fun summer experience.”
Offshore also presents views of Navy Pier’s fireworks displays, which take place on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 10:30 p.m.
All specials and activities are available only on the outdoor deck. The hours of operation for Offshore are Monday – Thursday 4 p.m. to midnight, Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight. Patrons must be 21 and over to enter Offshore. Offshore is accessible through the Pier, with valet service available.
